I lost a friend almost 2 years ago. He also got nailed by Agent Orange In Nam. His lungs eventually gave out on him. His smoking didn't help it out any either. For his service we should be . Hope he beats it

Sheesh...that's a pricey mistake. There was no clearance between the flywheel bolt heads and the input shaft of the transmissions. They didn't catch it during assembly. We caught it a month ago while removing a transmission to change a bad output seal.
This is the newest boat in our fleet, 5,000 hours and change on that set of engines. According to Yanmar, those engines should have ran a minimum of 30,000 without touching the lower end. We had the pan off one of them in the boat. You can only see so much with the crankshaft in place, there is a 50/50 shot they will be salvageable. According to Yanmar, there is ONE new crankshaft available for resale, and it is in Japan. Hopefully, we will have them all out and shipped to the dealership by the end of next week.
To answer your other question, no props on this one, it is a jet drive.
You bet this is gonna get pricey. I will be shocked if this is resolved without ending up in court.Sheesh...that's a pricey mistake.
Reminds of the time we had a young guy put an engine in and he didn't realize the torque converter popped out of the pump. Didn't matter, he used the bell housing bolts to pull it tight. Put it all together and the engine ran but lo and behold the transmission didn't work due to the smashed pump.
He then got to do his first transmission replacement.
It was an expensive lesson but he learned something.
Beauties! Sorry I’ve been slacking.Had the oven on yesterday. Might as well fill it up. Since @svk hasn't posted any cast iron cooking or baking pix I figured it was time.

Yeah I think you’re right about it being different state to state. I’m in Illinois. They have ya by the short hairs and don’t care. That’s who I have . No zero cost plan here. Looked into it I would need to be on Medicaid for a zero plan and I don’t qualify. I could have gotten a $25 a month part c which had scripts but my Dr and my pharmacy weren’t on their “list” and I’m not going to find a new Dr . Took me two years to find one I liked and trusted
Just looked at the pics and noticed you're an open station man. I like your thinking.I installed my heater yesterday on my tractor. I made up a bracket out of bed rails to hold the heater. I mounted it in the hole were my right rear view mirror would go. I still need to buy some heater hose, find the upper hose outlet on my motor and run the fused power wire to the battery. I installed the fan switch on the lower part of the dash near the heater on the downside to keep any water from getting into it.
Our Walmart is usually stocked pretty good. .410 shows up once in a while and I buy the 3 box limit. Stihl need a gun to shoot it though.I am so glad that the idiots in NY have largely overlooked the reloading area, as I do not shoot any factory centerfire ammo. That said, it can be a PITA to get 22 and shotgun ammo. If you try to buy stuff at a Walmart, you never know if it is in stock or not, and they will not tell you over the phone! So stupid! Also, large rifle primers are still very hard to find ... luckily, I've stocked up on them when I did see them.
The nearest Cabela's is in CT, the NY ones are hours away. To buy ammo in CT you need a CT full carry permit. The only requirements are to have a NY permit and go through the gauntlet of applications and fingerprints and pay about $250. So why don't they just accept my NY full carry permit? It is all BS and about money and control. The only good news is that now I can also carry in CT.
Most sporting goods stores no longer sell guns or ammo. Gone are the good old days when almost every hardware store sold 22 ammo, shotgun shells and popular centerfire ammo!
Also, so stupid, in NY to buy ANY semi auto firearm (including handguns, 22s and shotguns) you need to have that "privilege" added to you carry permit. Of course, they are going to give it to anyone who has a full carry permit, so it is just another stupid hurdle you have to cross and is a way to discourage gun ownership.
I am so upset the Democrat narrowly won the last Gubernatorial election. I believe there were mistakes made during the campaign, and I hope the next one goes differently.
On the subject of roll up doors, I would go with garage door style. I recently had one of the internal springs break and all of the folks around here that repair roll up doors said it was cheaper to replace rather than repair. I had no intention of buying another $1100 door for a broken spring, so I pulled it down and did the surgery and found and installed a new spring. I can see why it would cost so much if you had to pay someone to do it. Just my experience, but I would never go roll up again unless I had to. Fortunately for me it was only an 8x8.Got the first quote for my new shop 30x50x12 with two 10x10 roll up doors (may not go with roll up) two 24x36 windows one 36x80 man door . I also requested the Prodex R16 full insulation package. Upgraded to 145mph +43.5 PSF certified construction. Shipped and installed $26,064.00 plus my local sales tax

I looked at the cab models before I bought this one. A cab just doesn't work in my woods unless I did a lot of clearing back of my roads. I don't like the confinement of a cab. I would have loved the AC and heater. The added cost for the cab model was cost prohibitive for me at that time. My tractor is a leftover 2014 NX4510hst. I bought it in 2016 for $21,500 out in Wisconsin and no sales tax. Locally it would have cost me over $30k with the tax. I drove out to WI and rented a UHaul trailer to tow it home. That cost me $966.00 total for that trip. I stopped in SkaneatIas, NY on the way home to visit friends. I sold my previous tractor for $7K which I put down on the new one. The actual out of pocket cost was very reasonable on this tractor. My old tractor owned me nothing.Just looked at the pics and noticed you're an open station man. I like your thinking.![]()
No company that sells ammo will ship anything to Taxachusetts. Here they require outside vendors to have an ammunition permit to ship here. We are screwed for ordering ammo, powder, primers and most others items online. Many people just go out of State to buy supplies. Also having friends in nearby States helps too. Taxachusetts is now keeping records on all ammo purchases. Walmart stopped selling ammo here a few months ago. This State has gone to shat big time with our illustrious Governor. Her new gun restrictions were put in without any hearings. C U, Next Tuesday is what gunowners call her.I got the impression that a lot of you guys were appalled at IL requiring a FOID card to buy ammunition. Being in IL, I didn't really think about it since I've never had an issue with it. Go into a store, show your card and buy your shells. Even an online outlet only required a photo copy of the card sent to them before they would sell/ship ammo to me.
Well, a store I wanted to make an on-line purchase will not sell anything to me. The local Academy Sports store is out of stock. The on-line CS will not ship to store or take my FOID card for an order. Their CS is single level, no supervisors or someone with a brain. Their system is not setup to accept FOID cards so IL customers loose out on the sales. I'm pi$$ed.
The concrete slab would cost more than that here!Got the first quote for my new shop 30x50x12 with two 10x10 roll up doors (may not go with roll up) two 24x36 windows one 36x80 man door . That’s not including the slab . I’ll be doing radiant heating in it too and I’ll have to see how thick for the slab as per town code . I’ll probably do two pours one for main area and one for the two pads for the two post lift so I don’t hit any of the heating pipe .The concrete slab would cost more than that here!
