On the subject of roll up doors, I would go with garage door style. I recently had one of the internal springs break and all of the folks around here that repair roll up doors said it was cheaper to replace rather than repair. I had no intention of buying another $1100 door for a broken spring, so I pulled it down and did the surgery and found and installed a new spring. I can see why it would cost so much if you had to pay someone to do it. Just my experience, but I would never go roll up again unless I had to. Fortunately for me it was only an 8x8.

Just looked at the pics and noticed you're an open station man. I like your thinking.;);)
I looked at the cab models before I bought this one. A cab just doesn't work in my woods unless I did a lot of clearing back of my roads. I don't like the confinement of a cab. I would have loved the AC and heater. The added cost for the cab model was cost prohibitive for me at that time. My tractor is a leftover 2014 NX4510hst. I bought it in 2016 for $21,500 out in Wisconsin and no sales tax. Locally it would have cost me over $30k with the tax. I drove out to WI and rented a UHaul trailer to tow it home. That cost me $966.00 total for that trip. I stopped in SkaneatIas, NY on the way home to visit friends. I sold my previous tractor for $7K which I put down on the new one. The actual out of pocket cost was very reasonable on this tractor. My old tractor owned me nothing.

I got the impression that a lot of you guys were appalled at IL requiring a FOID card to buy ammunition. Being in IL, I didn't really think about it since I've never had an issue with it. Go into a store, show your card and buy your shells. Even an online outlet only required a photo copy of the card sent to them before they would sell/ship ammo to me.

Well, a store I wanted to make an on-line purchase will not sell anything to me. The local Academy Sports store is out of stock. The on-line CS will not ship to store or take my FOID card for an order. Their CS is single level, no supervisors or someone with a brain. Their system is not setup to accept FOID cards so IL customers loose out on the sales. I'm pi$$ed.
No company that sells ammo will ship anything to Taxachusetts. Here they require outside vendors to have an ammunition permit to ship here. We are screwed for ordering ammo, powder, primers and most others items online. Many people just go out of State to buy supplies. Also having friends in nearby States helps too. Taxachusetts is now keeping records on all ammo purchases. Walmart stopped selling ammo here a few months ago. This State has gone to shat big time with our illustrious Governor. Her new gun restrictions were put in without any hearings. C U, Next Tuesday is what gunowners call her.

The concrete slab would cost more than that here!

That’s not including the slab . I’ll be doing radiant heating in it too and I’ll have to see how thick for the slab as per town code . I’ll probably do two pours one for main area and one for the two pads for the two post lift so I don’t hit any of the heating pipe .

I’ve been there stayed at a little motel a couple of times attending the Syracuse Nationals. Most people butcher the name . I’ve heard people pronounce it ska needles instead of skinny atlas

For his service we should be . Hope he beats it
Thank you. (on behalf of him). I thought he was weaker this past spring, He hooked up the camper and was gone a lot. By all accounts, he is doing better. I'd say he has not and never will recover all his strength, but is stronger in 2024 than before, and has changed activities from working on stuff he likes to do (Some of which bring in money) to traveling and having fun. He has a motorcycle he built (frame and all) with an aluminum v-8. (makes a HD hog feel puny). I heard he laid it over while putting it away this fall. (no injury, just a strength issue). So far, so good, but as we age, after a certain point strength lessens no matter how we try to fight it. We learn to adapt. In light of this, I figure if I can cut and hand split a 4x8 trailerload of firewood in half a day, and load and unload and stack it, without ever being tired out or sore, that is not bad for and ol' guy. (and still do other less strenuous work the rest of the day)

So managed to get into a fight with the jointer Saturday night... and caught my finger. Cought a knott on the board, it jumped, hand slipped. You know. Oops
Did manage to get the tip of the bone a bit. good news, the orthopedic surgeon was the on call Dr Saturday night, so it got fixed up right away. Other then hurting like a b**ch it's fixed up. Supposed to keep it dry and not smack it off anything. 🤣 could have been a lot worse.

Recently my daughter added on a 2 car garage to her house. The foundation was already in place. The garage prices ranged from $65,000 - $85,000. This was with attaching the garage to the house. There are (2) 8' x 8' insulated electric doors, one walkout door, a few windows, wired with 20 amp outlets, vinyl siding and insulated. I thought that these prices were a total ripoff. To get a building like yours for that price is awesome.

Not a bad price for the building installed. I was around $15k for a 30x24x12, 2 years ago. The versa tube was $10k delivered i ended up going with.

That looks like my finger when I hit the tip of the saw blade on my table saw. Luckily not nearly as bad though as yours. I wouldn't be surprised if you loose the feeling in that finger tip. It's aggravating when assembling something.

Your jointer accident convinced me to get some paddles and push stick when using mine.

Ill sounds easier than NY now. IN the past, we'd walk into a store, buy ammo and leave. Now, a background check, which has a fee, then of course get denied (by design), only to return the next day for it to go through.

Hopefully I don't loose feeling, time will tell. Guess I'll find out after its healed back up. So far it hurts like a bugger, so I'm feeling something lol.
Glad my stupidity combined tou to get some push sticks and paddles. Padles should have prevented this, or even passing over the table how we did every board before that. Don't even know why we deviated from how we were doing it. One of us would pass the board across the cutter, and the other would catch on the outfeed side, finishing the cut. Got into a hurry I guess.
