Looking good! It's hard to tell from this angle but I think it looks good as is. I prefer trucks that are a little higher in the rear so when there's a load in the bed it doesn't squat so bad. Damn fine truck sir!
Thanks . This is a play truck the most in the bed will be a cooler and a couple of folding chairs

Well, the log truck is done! My buddy ended up, tieing down the grapple to the bed to get it inspected. He was thrilled with how the truck drove and Becker was very happy with the work we did.(the inspection guy.) We made the grapple fit it's bed after I got off work, and give her a bit of paint.

I'm still on the job doing some work for a customer friend, yesterday my nephew and me, split a LOT of wood for him, we also helped him put a bridge over a creek.

We had to snake some long heavy I-beams back through the woods and here's how I did it,

It was a long day but at least we got a lot done.

Good morning Rob. Nice job.
Was thinking about you last night heading to and leaving Freemont.

I think this may be as far as I will get on the screen room build down by the water this year. We'll have snow before long. It's going to have a 12x16 screened in portion and an 8x16 veranda facing the water. View attachment 1217392

I'm thinking of building a shed on 6x6s to avoid taxes on a platform similar to your deck. Are those 2x8 joists? What's the span of the 6x6s? Mine will be for lawnmowers and garden equipment.

Find some black locust to build it on. Depending on the size 2x6 with a 3/4" OSB floor is fine. I used 2x8 with 3/4 tongue and groove OSB for a 10x12 with the 2x8 spanning the 10', it's held up great even with my zero-turn mowers in it.
I'm getting ready to build a chicken coop, 7-8 or 8x10. I already have 4 locust logs vertical in the ground from the current coop, I'll probably use those to build off of, but I'll probably add two more further out as the current coop is 4x8. I'll be using all 2x6 for the base as it will not have any weight in it.

Not sure if I mentioned, I won a Weatherby Vanguard in my choice of caliber. I chose 25-06, well the FFL let me know it arrived today, so that will be coming home tomorrow.

I was also blessed recently with another pre64 model 70 Winchester. This one a Super Grade in 300 H&H. Luckily it came with 50 rounds. As the ammo is near impossible to findView attachment 1217037View attachment 1217038View attachment 1217039View attachment 1217040
25-06 is a fantastic choice. I really liked mine

I didn’t expect to see this on November 6… nor have 75° temperatures at 11 AM. Supposed to hit 78° later. It’s a small rat snake… 3’ max.

My son found a rat snake shed up near the ridge of the roof of the house we have under renovation. This while he was cleaning the gutters.
