Don’t think anyone has a better story on dealing with them than Uncle Mustang
When they took out his mailbox, they got stuck in the snow and he went out and “handled them”
Overnight soak in acetone . Paint doesn’t dissolve turns to rubber so the acetone can be used again 
I'll give more details when I get more time ... there are a lot of "interconnected" info items. It was not the first time they ran my mailbox down, but this time their car got stuck in the snowbank, and I heard the crash.
That’s one of the trails at the Ashokan but not the ART. The ART has three trailheads along Rte 28. Some of the trail is on top of dykes, some on a berm and some through the woods on the former railroad corridor. It has an ADA compliant surface so it’s okay for child bikes, wheel chairs, etc.

Several year ago, a couple of times a week or two earlier someone was knocking over my mailbox with their car during the night, and I was getting pissed.
About 11:00 at night I'm watching TV, it had snowed earlier in the day, and I hear a boom. I look out the window and see the car that hit my mailbox stuck in the snowbank.
I go out and 3 of them get out of the car and try telling me they slipped off the road and hit my mailbox by accident. I tell them that is BS, this is the third time, and they are going to pay for it (this time they broke it) or I was going to call the police. They tried acting tough with me and pointed out there were 3 of them, I just responded that did not matter to me.
Some background. A few months earlier, Matt and a couple of his friends were boxing at his house, and the "tough guy" from the school had bested all of them and was taunting them to come back and box. My brother (Matt's Dad, and also a Matt) heard it and volunteered to box with the guy. Matt and his friend were afraid of the tough guy and were afraid my brother would get hurt. It only took one body punch, and my brother dropped the tough guy on the ground. The tough guy went on and on about how good of a boxer my brother was. My brother looked at him and said, "you're lucky you weren't boxing with my brother; he is better than me".
Turns out that one of the 3 guys is the younger brother of the "tough guy". So, this guy calls his brother begging for him to help them out. When the "tough guy" learns who they are dealing with, he tells them to just do what he tells you.
The 3 of them try and try but can't get the car out of the snowbank. So, I tell them to get out of the way and I push it out myself. I'm sure it made an impression.
They agree they will return tomorrow and fix my mailbox. I agree, but tell them I want to see some ID. They tell me they don't have ID. I tell them that is a shame, because now I will have to call the police, and they are not allowed to be driving w/o a license.
All of a sudden, they all have IDs, and I make them follow me into my garage so I can write down the information.
They don't return the next day, so I call the police and report them and file charges. The court calls my house, my wife picks up, and they ask if we will agree that they all be fined by the court. My wife says "No", We want to be reimbursed for repairing our mailbox.
They ended up having to pay us money to resolve the charges, and we never had any trouble with them again.
Well, looks like Matt made it up to the cabin!

I forget who posts the train pics. Rockville bridge. Longest stone arch train bridge ever built. Near Harrisburg PA. Did a lot of fishing under that bridge.

You could be sitting in a dock twiddling your fingers while waiting to get loaded for over 1.5hrs. Was gonna say they haven't touched the trailer yet, but I just felt the dockplate set down. Longer I sit here the worse the traffic getting out, as I'm on the west.side of chitcago.

Ahhh, brings back fond memories. I ran to South Chicago last Wednesday when it was so ass-blistering COLD. It was pucker-factor 10 from Leonard St. to Benton Harbor. Keep your shiny side up brother!!!!

From experience I knew there wouldn't be any problems, but I figure they totaled up under 10K, the trailer is rated 14K.

. I used to run out there every night, wasn't bad going in at 1-2 their time, when my company said they were switching to having me run out at 5-6pm, I said I'M OUT. Even at 25 I knew better than doing that for the same money
.Fortunately I made it out without finding an accident as it was raining all the way back to MI, unfortunately traffic was quite a bit under the speed limit.

I guess I had it backwards too.
I shot most of my deer with .357 and .44 Magnum guns (hand and long) whereas chucks were mostly taken with a .257 Roberts or .30-06. The distance of encounter drove my choice. I wasn’t worried about the power per se as good shot placement works.
