DAMN IT!!

 :bang:

Now I can't frikkin' take off work like I had hoped. I'm also being told that I'll probably have to come in this weekend.....

GRRRR.....

I'll still try to make it. I'll just have to leave at 4:00am on Saturday. I'll prolly have to work on Sunday so I'll just leave Saturday evening - looks like no camping for me..... :(

Double-yoo-tee-eff!!!!

Well, the wood showed up this afternoon, and we have plenty. Probably 4-5 cords if it was going to be used for firewood. There is one big ugly piece of maple that we are calling "The 100cc log" for all of the big saws to chew on.

Couple of other notes. For guys staying over there are a couple of nice breakfast joints. Kasey cafe in Boiceville where Warren can be found each morning, and Phoenicia diner up by the campgrounds. Both places are right on RT 28.

Food for Saturday is going to be the everybody bring something style. We'll have a grill there and a two burner propane stove for heating stuff up, and a coffee pot will be set up in the showroom. We'll also have a cooler with some water/sodas and stuff. There are stores nearby if we run out or need anything else. I'll make another batch of chilli like I did for the CNY event. Post what your bringing, and anybody coming from some distance, can just bring some snacks.

For the swap meet, I have a few things that don't have to follow me back home. Stihl 031, 041FB, and 045. All are runners. And whatever else I find.

Later on, I'll post some new saw specials in case anybody is in a shopping mode.

Hidden safely in the bottom of my cooler, until I hear no more saws!!! We will be thinking of you Niko, you can be sure!! I'm sure we will raise a pint to you. (After the saws stop!!!!):cheers:

OK, we're sitting around here coming up with some more silly ideas, so we are going to have a saw toss event. Best distance wins. The official saw for this event has not been selected yet, but it will likely be something that has already angered me. LOL

Any Poulan will work.

Tossing

Yeah, even an orange one. There is a mini XL Homellite under the rack, that could be used.

What about technique here? Underhand or overhand?

I think the "technique" should be left up to the tosser. Just mark and measure. If you don't come up with something to throw let me know. I have the perfect thing. A used up, froze up, homelite 150 that I can bring down for the occasion. It was another orphan that literally show up on my doorstep one morning. Now if this were a Jonsereds that would be one thing but this this is just another dead baby. I say Toss That Sum Bee as far as you can!!! Over and over and over again!!
Let me know, I'll bring'er down.:greenchainsaw:

Yep - when I did long-casting while fishing from the coast (for fun, no competition, literally), I got the better results from side-casting, when the conditions were right. My favourite reel was an early 6500CS Rocket.

I guess I would try the side tech with a chainsaw as well - could make it "ride" a bit better on the air, for a few mm more.........:popcorn::givebeer:

You don't have a stubborn log splitter to throw around?:dizzy:

What I don't want to see is people throwing around my 359 when I arrive.:greenchainsaw: How did it come out? PM me, Bob.

I am bring my 066 and some two man saws which might need some tuning since I have never used them. Also a one man ice cutting saw.

Sounds like a great time! For the saw throwing, I have plenty of experience with the mini-macs so you might want to pick something else if you want anyone to have a chance of winning.

Hey, how about dizzy cookie? Like dizzy bat, but only with a chainsaw and a log. That's safe, right?

It's supposed to be cold, but the ice cutting saw shouldn't be necessary unless we are planning on mixed drinks.

You might want to throw your old carb around, or up against the concrete wall. I couldn't get it to settle down, so I had to put a new one on; but shes' all ready to go.

Who is going to run the other end of those two man saws? :dizzy:

Beer?... We are having stuffed peppers, I think red wine is what would be called for.

Saw specials.....?????
Looks like there are no more oe 346's. Maybe a 2153...

So, we have you down for the wine then. ;)

Does the 353 have to be totally new?

So, who's going to take a crack at the "saw race" starting with the dis-assembled saw?

I can see it now; A group of people watching the saw toss, and a contestant in the saw race can't get it to fire. The crowd watches a saw sail over them and well past the bench mark. To give a saw a good throw, you must truely be mad at it.

:ices_rofl::ices_rofl: Wait until Beowulf67' wife reads this...you might be in trouble :hmm3grin2orange:

If I were to residing in the states, this GTG would be all mine...

:) Kelly and I got a nice chuckle, Belgian. Actually, I am the one who does the majority of the cooking in the household, but I must say that Kel' is learning fast. Spike leaves me flattered by calling this dish an "old style family" recipe, because it is incredibly easy to make. I will also be bringing a large pan of lasagna and three bottles of Chimay Grande Reserve.

BTW Belgian, if you were indeed attending the GTG you and I would certainly raise a glass and extend a solemn/respectful toast in memory of Witchy.

While we are on the subject of beer, I was raised on German beers and continue to enjoy many homemade recipes here in the States. I have to admit though, that the Flemish/Walloon(?) recipes are my favorites. There is nothing like smackin' your lips on a glass of Duvel, Chimay, etc. YUM!

Cheers
