Recently bought a 441 magnum and it realy runs smooth with lots of power also as of 3-21-07 Stil raised the warrenty on their pro saws to one year.

Love to have one but I can't afford the beans. I'll have to get by with the MS440 for now. heeheehee it handles a 24 inch ES just fine with stock anti-vibe. But I always let the horse do the work and ride light in the saddle.

Don't you mean hold the reins light. :hmm3grin2orange:

i bought one awhile back.Like they say you dont feel it running. It cuts fast
has plenty of power

Thank you my friend ....I was told it was spring...Just wanted to know so I take enough funds along..

THX:cheers:

.

Sorry, I need to stay out of these 441 glory threads.
BTW if you stihl heads want a used 441 I know where one is for 575.00.
The dealer went over it, and said it's a good runner, he replaced the filter cover, and put a new forester bar and chain on it, Looks clean.
P.M. me and I will give ya the phone number.

Harness with no bit and no reins...just tell them where to go until they tell me where they are going. If they start going the wrong way I just get off and run. Never been hurt by a horse since I was 13, or a saw since I was a little older. Respect for horses and big tools goes a long way. Big trees require more than respect!! Lots of thought and preparation. But you all know that already. My grandfather taught me about horses. The saws I had to learn from the horses. I have to thank the great folks on this site.:) I really don't have much to offer but enjoy reading very much.

The man wants a Stihl apparently and a smooth one.

Yep. I have drifted into becoming a Stihl head. There are pleanty of Husky dealers around here, and I have looked at them. Never got into them. Looked seriously at Dolmar too, but the closest dealer is 100 miles form here.

BTW................who said the 441 was too wide???

Not me......:help:

...but it is a fat arse saw......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

I think I did the right choise, getting the 372xpg vs the 441W, even though it cost a good bit more money (here).

When the 461 arrive, I will take a hard look at it - but the 441 feel a bit large and heavy for the 70.7 cc.........

This comes from a Man that has ran both too, Not second Hand.(or do I have to buy both to be valid)?

So the 441 is smoother then and cuts just as good as a 372.

Like Sawtroll said no vibes is no vibes.
What Stihl just came out with a saw with no vibes and now. OH it's smoother.
I like the part "cuts just as good as" LOL, what ever
Funny I have never snapped any of my springs but I have seen some broken.
Better vibe springs ? Meaning what they just wear out ? I have some like that on a 361, same spring as the 441.

Some like stream lined saws, Some like fat arse saws. don't be ashamed fat arse saws need love too.

BTW: Leave Sawtroll alone. I'm watching ya.

Funny part is I'm telling it like it is, as Jack Nicholson would say, you can't handle the truth. As you can see the man that started this thread still has no interest at all in the 372 even after all the hype, he wants a Stihl, the real McCoy, not the hype saw, the orange Pooolan, hehe. See Manual not evetyone buys into all the hype regardless who is feeding it, be you or Sawtroll, poor salesman, both of ya,LOLOL

Don't worry about me picking on Sawtroll, he knows I'm just yanking his chain, you however, I'm pulling yours with the tractor,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Yes you did the right thing, you bought the saw you wanted, nothing wrong with that at all. You perfer the humpback over the fat ARSE,hehe. I prefer the fat Arse so guess we're back to where we started ole boy,LOLOL

Now lookie here I bit my tongue up till now on this thread.
Hype what hype? you mean the part when you said "the 441 cuts as good as the 372" ? Love it.

If he wants a 441 get it. I even told him about a used 441 forsale. "3-4 months old"
