I was thinkiong the 350 would be a better saw too if he has a dealer, but if you want to go with a stihl, ROCK ON!!!

Awwwwwwww but those people buy more saws than the pros, maybe 10,000 homeowners to every one Pro, who would you cater too, GOTCHA,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
Well, I am definately not a pro, but not an idiot either......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

...but the Husky 350 is a much better and nicer saw.....:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

And here we were, friends gathered to praise the use of the 250, maybe to win a new follower over... Kinda' hoped you wouldn't find us, cause we knew you would come and bring uncertainty and doubt to our meeting with that talk of yours about that darn 350 again... ;)

Yep, but that's just lunacy, because they think people need the QCA and Easy-start........:pumpkin2: :pumpkin2:

They think that people are lame idiots...... :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Well SawTroll, yes Stihl actually do, their rep. told me so, but that was not the reason they invented the QCA and E2S. That was the reason they invented the quick-lock caps for the fuel- and oil-tanks ...

He used slightly different wording though, but that was what he actually meant...

Awwww he isn't fooling anyone. I had a 350 on my bench Wednesday morning. Its a nice little saw but better made than the 250, nope. The chain break on it sucks, which is why the guy brought it in. Locked but wouldn't unlock, poor design, built onto the bar cover using elcheapo plastic. The handle paws that operate the break had rounded off and would not grab the lock lever to unlock it. Stihl break system on the 250 a 100times better. Don't tell SawTroll I know these things, :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Like I say I love the 025/250. Luckily, I got the 025 before they put all the easy-to-start junk on it. I use the RS or other brands round chisel most of the time and you will still have plenty chain speed with it. I don't doubt you'd have more chainspeed with the 250 and a 14" OR 16" bar, but I believe it would keep cutting even with a 20" if you could mount it...which unfortunately you can't at least in a Stihl or Oregon bar, thanks to a different mounting pattern.

Stihl MS250 sucks, Husky 350 is much better.......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

As far as I know, you can "Stihl" get the 250 without the easy start deal. At least I know when mine was bought less than a year ago, the dealer had both versions on the shelf. The one with the easy start was quite a bit more money than the standard recoil. And it just felt weird to me. Needless to say, the one with the standard recoil is the one that got sold! :biggrinbounce2:

The Un-easystart is still just an option... if you're disabled... I think they are a worthless POS.

I looked again yesterday and he has a 270 with the chain tensioner wheel on the side versus the standard chain tensioner screw. I think this is the same model that has the easy start. It looked like a pretty neat thing but probably not a whole lot easier than the standard tensioner screw. I think he was asking $369 for it. The only advantage I saw was not having to worry about having a screwdriver handy all the time. What are the disadvantages of these additional devices besides price? I don't have any problems starting my current saw. It sometimes takes a little persistance but nothing I can't deal with. Thanks, Greg
