Don't make me come over there 2000...
Break it up, back to your corners.
Hurry back Tommie. Between poetry and being THE CHAMP, well, let's just say, it's a lot of work.
I never liked you...
I never liked you...
I woke up this morning and the weather was bad
So I started a thread to make people mad
It wont stop raining so I had to have fun
I wasn't messin with no one so don't jump the gun
It doesn't matter what saws are in the beds of your trucks
:notrolls2:

If you want to know a rough Stihl dealer cost, take off about 20% from MSRP. Some get a little more, some less... some get inbound freight paid, some don't..
As to my knowledge the profit margin is pretty comparable between brick and mortar dealerships with stihl, husky, jonsered, and dolmar. Some dealers will charge you close to MSRP and some will not. Its up to the individual dealer what they want to charge.
Said I was done and then you go and say that :chainsawguy:
Try 30 40 percent mark up. I am small FFL dealer and all my POR firearms are way more than the ones that give their price. Browning and Ruger for example .
Plus if I order a special run or a discounted item and I get huge discounts my profit margin is much better.
FACT -- Stihl keeps it a dealer program only to keep prices high, high prices do NOT EQUAL BETTER QUALITY. I like Stihl saws, just don't like the way they are sold or the high prices that come with them.
They say it is a dealer only program to serve the customer better, if you believe that I have some swamp land for sale.
edit :
And I haven't even addressed dealer incentives ... buy five get one free kind of deals.
I agree -- still this is true
"If some of the Stihl fans knew what dealer cost was ... they might not be such die hard fans."
In the end I have seen zero difference in quality between Stihl and Husqvarna and I have been cutting wood for thirty years or so.
while I have seen huge price differences.
You all have a good day now and cut up some wood.
And this is my last word on this matter in this post.
Not here to argue with a bull head.
Just talking facts.
Later.
Spike, Thall, Andy, and Scott would be able to know the specifics more than I would, but all of them have incentives. If Larry sells 5 dolmars out of his garage a year, should he get them for as cheap as Scott, who sells 500?
You haven't proved they are facts
exactly
A person who makes volume sales are the ticket to get a good deal on any saw
You haven't proved they are facts
