So does everyone have their chainsaws sharp and ready to run? 10:00 am is the start time . I'll have a sign set up on the road that says GTG . Hope to see you all there .

Good God no!! My saws are dirty & the chains are dull - one hit rock just the other day - my truck is a mess of tools, paint, and other sundry crap, and my butt end is dragging from a week of emptying, cleaning, painting, and repairing my house that wouldn't sell for an August 1st rental.

But I do have a plan. Tonight I'll prepare an 8 pound pork loin with all the mystery stuff that turns into pulled pork. Hopefully, it'll be in the oven by 4:45 AM tomorrow to cook for hours and hours. In that time, I hope to at least put new chains on the saws (and give 'em a fast cleaning), clean out some of the crap in the truck, load the saw related stuff into the truck, load the pulled pork and rolls into the truck, and then leave!!

At least, that's what I have planned...

Got the Jeep loaded up. Just grabbed a 1/2 dozen saws that already had fuel in them. Nothing really special, just what I've been running lately. I'll likely get there early since I'm not that far away. If you guys need any help finishing with set up, I'll pitch in.

We might have to dodge a thunderstorm in the afternoon, but we should be OK on the weather.

Looking forward to a good day!

Getting ready to load up. Most of these saws haven't been touched since the GTG here!

Been ready for almost a week now! Looking forward to it. Were you able to find any larger logs?

If necessary, I'm prepared to noodle some down for testing with 10" bars on polesaws. With luck, there'll be more than one polesaw.

Of course, testing PS-6100 w/24" b&c for noodling should be fun regardless.

Packing list: picnic table, 11' x 11' canopy, cooler stocked with a variety. (Don't miss it this time, Jeremy.)

Just mapped the final location out...a GTG a hair over an hour from home? What the hell is going on here???

Saws gassed and loaded up...looking forward to it bigtime! Sure beats driving from NH to Maine for 4 hours only to get there at 11 AM :dizzy::dizzy:

Morning guys! Odd part about a GTG this close is that I'm usually on the road by now and I've got to kill some time here. Maybe I'll throw a few more saws in the Jeep.

Overcast, 67, and not looking too nice, but there is nothing on the radar so we should be OK for a while. If it stays like this it's WAY better than baking in 85 degree sunshine.

See everybody in a couple hours.

Well we're off to a late start this morning. Going to try to make it for the kick off, but it's looking more like 10:30ish. Had the memorial service for my girlfriends father last night, so not going to rush her this morning. She's been a great sport about this whole chainsaw thing, so hopefully she'll have a good time today.
