I picked up a nice looking MS 290 today it runs but does'nt want to idle very good. The compression is low at 120 and the exaust side of the piston is scored up.

So I'm looking for a good piston and rings for a 290 or a p/c and rings for a 310 or 390.

I would even swap or sell the saw the way it is if someone was interested.

Echo part flew away !

Was working on an echo 302 , the bracket that the carb bolts go thru with the nut to hold the top cover on left the wire wheel at a hi rate of speed never to be found
ANYBODY have one ??
have the saw running and this is all thats needed to finish it up.

i am in need of a tillotson fuel inlet nipple for 034 (hk43?).
it is a white plastic one.
according to the posts in my AS search they can be swapped out.

will trade 020av or 038 parts or green.

Ron the blue ones are for the electronic ign's. They go out alot! There not cheap to replace either.

ive got a really good running 266 closed chamber milled cylinder and popped up piston but no port work done. it pulls 185 with gasket or 200 without it installed. i dont have a use for it in my line up. it runs good and looks good . i will trade it for a 372xp,390xp,395xp,ms460,066 ms660 project ,i also have a ms440 bottom end that needs flywheel side bearing ,i have a new gasket kit with seals to go with it, i also have a woods ported ms440 that i dont use much anymore in good shape but it needs a carb kit. runs and idles great just have to hold trigger open when you cold start it. i will trade on this stuff or sell it outright. i would also take a dolly 7900 for trade

I have a idea going around in my pea sized brain. If I put a point coil and bracket on with a Atom module to replace the points, that would work... yes???
