Before you go hacking that thing up with a grinder, why don't you just trade it for a nice white bar that says "STIHL" on the sides in big black letters:biggrin: I don't think I have a 28" just now but I do have 25" and 36".

Start with points and condenser. I highly doubt you need a coil. I do not have any of this.

I've got something that resembles an 064/066/660 complete starter cover. I haven't tried to figure out what saw it will fit.

Don't know what it will match, but here's the part numbers:
Starter cover 1122 084 1060
Plastic dust guard: 1122 084 7800
Plastic recoil drum: 1122 195 0400
Stihl Elastostart handle

The outside isn't too great, but rope, starter handle, spring, drum, sprawls (sp), dust cover are in good condition.

Bolted right up and functions just fine on my old flat top 066 project. Haven't tried putting the assembly itself into my newer cover, but it looks like everything will swap right over, no problem. Thanks, man.

Looking for a metal recoil and plastic flywheel cover for a 920 jred, bunch of jred 625 stuff, 18" stihl b/c and many other assorted saws parts.

I would trade these for bars i can use , 18 inch small mount husky, 325/0r 3/8 or 16 inch setup 346, 357
