You need the knob and post with the retaining circlip and spring. Th older 038's used the big silver slotted screw. The cover and filter you have is set up for the later Super, and Magnum style latch.

Maybe thats why I ruined the one I tried to put on, LOL! (I'll learn someday) :)

ouch 5 posts and on the way to a red nova!

his other posts were about acquiring rope for climbing, but he is broke. i think the dude is serious. maybe people should lay-off the red rep?

From the looks of your signature you have more invested in saws!:dizzy:

ha ha ha, not even close.

Paid for everything i have but at least my step dad always has good advice to give me, might not be tools but it helps.

Ya I would of but I was broke and 19 years old, typical. They loaned me $2500, now I have well over $20k in tools for work, not counting the thousands I have at home.

Not sure i spent that much in tools but at the rate i going now i should be there in a few years. I've been investing into my trucking company more in the last few years so the tools/toys fund has taken a beating!

I worked three summers in high school on the grounds maintenance crew of a resort hotel to buy my first truck, saw, falling gear, and insurance. I started at the same resort at 14 working in the kitchen, washing dishes and busing tables.

(If I'm not careful I may end up back there...)
