That saw will clean up very well and will bring 500.00 easily if it runs good.

What a bunch of guys miss is that many "shiny" saws you see on ebay just have some new plastic and paint.....

What Tom has here is a diamond in the rough. Looking at the recoil I see a saw that sat more than was used. Many have the paint worn away and the ridge in the center of the recoil worn down from rubbing on the users pant leg.....

Ive seen several in the same shape that folks are asking over 500......I wouldnt be scared to run it...

Posting info shared through pm's is not cool. It's an unwritten rule... you don't do it.
That dirty 064 would eat a shinny new 660 all day. 064's are my favorite large Stihl.
If I didn't have a few already.... I'd offer $100 and a Homelite Ranger carrying case with a broken hinge.. :hmm3grin2orange:

Kidding. $500 is ballpark.

Umm, no I did n't but thanks for sharing your low reading comprehension.

While I appreciated your $250 offer I'm out not sure why you didn't just post it if if you intended to share what was said in pm's. We have differing opinions of what the saw will bring, no need for you to be pissy about it.

I only know what they sell for on eBay, and I have the pm to prove you are asking 500 on Craig's list. That saw would not bring more than 350-375 tops on eBay right now. I bought both of mind cheaper than that and they are both cleaner. I posted what you told me in our pm so that other people would not waste there time thinking you want a reasonable price for your saw. next time you want to sell something post it in the classified section with a price.

Something else that should be thrown out there is this. Tom is one of the easiest guys to deal with I've met.......

I have met him in person......

He's younger than I am.......seems smarter too. :msp_unsure:

I just dont appreciate it when he brought up my reading comprehension because of our differing opinions of the value of his chainsaw and then lied about his previous statements.

but........who really cares anyway?:msp_w00t:

If you don't want the man's saw....don't buy it!!!

But don't trash it in an open forum either.
It's very poor form and does nothing to improve your image.

Saving the space for when I have more time. But, to call me a liar is messed up.

ive got a 064 for sale in the classifieds and $500 wont get you the chance to smell its exhaust while i use it. a nice 064 will sure enough make a new 660 look pathetic.( when you say ported 064 it gets even worse for the 660) saws are worth just exactly what the buyer and seller agree upon. not a penny more ,not a penny less. if your willing to pay the sellers price then go for it,if not, move on.

For 500 bucks anybody can smell my exhaust.

I'm looking for a good used 24"/25" bar and chain for my MS460 project.
PM me if you have something.

Thanks, Glenn
