Sounds like my Hobart should do the trick then!

Tbone,
Do you have picks of your muffler mod? I've got the BB kit on my dolkita now and was thinking of doing a muff mod... Don't know that i've seen a dolmar muff mod yet... I'm guessing now that it's 84cc's it could use a little less restriction...

All I did was open the baffel up a bunch. Mine has a BB top end on it that I ported a little. LOL But I still don't have it running just right? I may have over did it?

So I'm in need of a 16" bar for my homelite sxl. 3/8, .050 sprocket nose preferred. Could also use a rim sprocket system (drum & rim) for it too.

Also still looking to swap with someone my brand new in box stihl RSC chain. Mine is 3/8, .050, 72 dl. I want one that's 70dl.

Not sure if I have a sprocket nose, but I'm sure I got several hardnosed bars in good shape.

I'll let you make up your own mind ... Stumpy did a BB/port/MM on a 6401 and showed what he did to the muffler .... but if nmurph says it's not needed, I'd tend to listen.

Looking for a muffler and bolts for a Husqvarna 36/41. Misc husqvarna and some stihl parts to swap or cabbage to send.
PM Details.

I'm also looking for a coil for a Homelite CS-50, not sure what other models are compatible.

I've looked through my junk twice and I don't have anything that will work. I checked on the bay and didn't see any but I did find one at Chainsawr.com. Chainsawr Homelite 300 Classic, CS-50 Chainsaw Ignition Coil

Sorry I couldn't help more than that.

It will be cheaper to have your dealer knock a couple of links out than to ship a chain.

Thanks, I actually had that coil from Chainsawr "in the cart" at one point today, but I'm not going to put any money into that saw at the moment. My focus is the 6401, I'll get in trouble if I get too greedy. I appreciate the effort.

On that note, if anyone is interested in the CS-50 let me know, I'm not very attached.

MM are not needed on 7900's. They are pretty unrestricted as is, and opening them up only makes them louder without producing any noticeable gain.. I have several 7900's and all have stock mufflers (and I'm all about a MM).

Not to get off topic in the swap forum but has anyone found an unlimited coil for the 6400-7900 Dolmar that fits as a direct swap to make them easier to tune???

To make this trading/swaping related... Does anyone have said coil so I can do this swap? :msp_biggrin:

There isn't a drop-in fix. A 55 coil can be adapted, but it takes some work.

Bailey's has been looking into getting one made overseas, but I don't think it has progressed very far.

Here's a thread-

Get on there and let Gregg know how you feel about an unlimited 7900 coil

I took the baffle right out of mine. I wouldn't do it any other way. Its a pain but, I do it.

Neal,

on your last post in that thread you linked mentioned that you were comparing the red & black coils for differences... ?? What did you come up with??? l

I have 3 new full skip chisel chains. .050 Oregon 36 in. And I have a used but clean 32 in Stihl bar, and one used full skip chisel chain, and one brand new chain the same, and .050 gauge. Cash, but maybe trade offers. And 2 14in ms 200, or 02 bars, with 7 chains, which 2 are used.
