Timber wolf , when you made your pipe you used to high of a rpm to calculate your volume, and your saw could not reach that rpm, that is why you had no torque at all, plus get away from that straight 0 degree header , they donot burn any fuel , no fuel no power

Timberwolf,
I was still impressed with your craftsmenship on the pipe, especially it being your first. Glad that you and your buddy and your dad were able to make it. His little 260 rocks.
Thanks for setting gypo and I stright on the basswood. I didnt know what I was looking at and john had the cheerleader on his mind, and why wouldn't he.

Hunter

also Timberwolf , the more done to your motor the better it will work on pipe, you should of took the pipe off your dads 260 and tried it on your saw and see how it worked

Good point ehp, We should have swaped pipes, crofters pipe for the 260 that has seen your loving touch, may have been close enough in tuned length to work somewhat with the stock 260.

I will be puting some taper in the next header.

no fuel - no power, no power - no prize

Crofter's pipe would work on your stock 260 but not as good as his saw does, porting and pipes do go together well

Hey G......when I said Caution it may be hazardous to your health, I meant whats happened to Gypo and KD.

I thought you meant to use the word hazardest which is why I used hazarder. But when you tie the thought to what's happened to those men, it's really not a laughing matter. Being realistic, they aren't spring chickens anymore and that kind of stuff has been happening to mankind for at least a few thousand years that we know about. I don't have any great expectations of getting treated favorably, but I hope to not be a burden to anyone before I go, and that I get to go quickly.

What a great time my son Noah and I had finally meeting you guys face to face and spending some time with you. To a man, each of you were a pleasure to be around, so much so that it seemed like we were old friends and had done this many times before.

Ed was an oustanding host and offered so many valuable insights regarding everything relating to chainsaws that it were if he was hosting a clinic for us. Ed was busy the whole time attending to our questions and illustrating many subtleties in tuning, filing and technique to help us all perform better. There was obviously no agenda to make any of us feel like we were in Ed`s shadow, he was completely selfless in his attitude and behavior while he gracefully spanked us when it came time to cut, LOL!

I admit that I had minor reservations concerning meeting Hunter, given the controversy based on statements made by others that had surrounded him a few months ago, but my reservations were quickly removed. He`s one of the nicest guys that I`ve met in a long while and isn`t the least bit evasive in discussing anything. He`s also very generous. Thanks Hunter.

John is John, ever ready to mediate and had something nice to say about everyone.

Crofter is the sage of this bunch. He has a very warm, easy going demeanor with interesting insight on virtually everything we discussed. A very wise man indeed, and he also files a pretty impressive chain! He has obviously passed on alot of his great personality and insight to his sons, the Wright brothers. Brian(Timberwolf) appears to be following in his fathers footsteps and his other son, whose name I`ve regrettably forgotten, doesn`t appear to be the chainsaw nerd that some of the rest of us are, but he seemed to have a good time none the less, and he was just as involved in the activities as anyone. I hope that I can get Frank to give me a few pointers on how to raise sons like his.

It was my pleasure to buy dinner for these guys and regret that the Wrights had to leave before we went to eat. I wasn`t alarmed by the amount of food consumed since I`d sized these guys up in advance and didn`t see anyone resembling a marathon runner in the group, LOL, but I did keep my hands close to my body during the melee. Besides, I was able to pay with my Visa card which automatically gives me the best exchange rate for US$ vs Cdn$ so it wasn`t like I was spending real money.

Now I`m anxiously waiting for another opportunity to do something like this again, hopefully we can do it in an area where more people could make it.

Check out the new outfit that Che made for me to wear to the next gig, what do you guys think?

Russ

Yah, I have heard that standing and filing racing chain is hard on the hips too. Actually I had just about the same experiance as John about 1 year ago. Probably paying back a debt I made 30 years ago rather than anything I did recently. I would have taken better care of myself if I had known I was gonna live this long!

I think she's getting awfully good with that photoshop or whatever she's using.

Russ,
I need to barrow some of that spandex suit. My question is how do you breath in it?
Oh I'm already hassing a plan to head back over to the Bass Pro shop. I need to get the scope set up mounted on my Omega.

Later,
Chris

Russ,

Here's your new avatar.

(a few iterations later... here it is in final form -- a touch of gamma correction to lighten it and bring out the highlights a bit)

Russ you are the man, cause I know not many on here would go where you just went

This is an outrage!
I thought I was the village idiot!
Just because I have one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel, it doesn't mean my position is up for grabs until I'm dead!
LOL
John

John,
So did ya get that big white cadilac unloaded? That things like a home all on its own.
Cant wait to see what chains you turn out.

Hi Jarod, I was watching Jerry Springer and I heard a knock on the door, it was Elvis himself with the 999. We made a few cuts and went for supper at Judy's Restaurant where Ed ate his way thru 100$ worth of groceries.
Anyway, the 999 is cutting alot better now. Elvis also set up the Pro Sharp for me.
John

Holy $h!t. Elvis himself did all that.
Looks like he is taking care of you.
Hope you are doing well.
Hunter
