Sounds good, I would like to see em
By the way I just tried to send a vid of my 550 off my iPhone but it keeps saying the file is to large?!? The vid only goes for 25sec.... Why would that be

Sometimes phones only allow uploads to Youtube via a wireless network.

Did I see another thread where you gave a stock 550 a tidy up? A vid of both would be seriously interesting.
Moody disappeared from AS before he actually showed much of his work.

Yeah I have currently got another 2 550s to build I got 3 blown up ones. All had straight mix put through them.
You see I work in with a lot of arborist and some of there contractors are a little care free and this is what happens. I'm the lucky one who ends up with blown up saws for cheap...

Sounds like we heading 4 a GTG " Build off" lol!!

In my limited experience with ported (modified) saws is;
The average user is wasting his money!
Most landowners , firewood guys in my area are "average" at best with a file!
Users like that would do better learning how to use a $3 file, rather than spending $$$$$ on a port job that they think will dramatically increase their productivity.
A ported saw 4 these guys will only create rapid chain stretch, and bigger shoulders on the bar rails twice as fast!
Now I have learnt some filing techniques from some of the best operators this country has 2 offer (lumberjackau,ausneil), yet it's obvious to me that, a correctly filed chain, on a stock saw,
Will provide more productivity, than a poorly filed chain on a ported saw hands down!:yes:

It's not common sense at all. If a chain starts going blunt you simply put on a bigger sprocket. Then the chain goes faster and starts cutting again. The other option is to just drop the rakers. This gets a blunt chain cutting again too. At no stage should you let a file touch a cutter. It's just a marketing ploy from file manufacturers to sell more files. I've had enough pro cutters and firewood cutting gurus come through to know that's exactly how it needs to be done...

I don't dissagree with this at all, I would not recommend most professional saws in general to the average user.
