I looking for one of the screws for a screw type wood splitter
Like you see on the you tube
does anyone know who supplies the in Oz ;O) tar

A good day for cutting today. All up would have been a full half 6x4 trailer load. Not bad for an afternoon. And the 211 seems to make a good bench saw, a bit more oomff than the ms180 for those bigger logs.

do you have the picco RD chain on the 211.
Are those benches better than blocking off a pile as I need to re-size most of my supply for the new smaller firebox

As in a wheel hub screw on a jacked up car
I use a 6-8lb wedge, big sledge/8lb splitter and a x27 fiskars.

And am longterm looking at a local made splitter-- any Great ones there's one that's coming to dowerin from east

No its just the regular semi chisel picco, RM I think.

I find the bench pretty handy for the smaller stuff, saves bending over and chasing it around the wood pile.

How will you stop the log from turning?

Most of those screw type splitters I've seen you need to use it in long logs then cut it to your firewood length with the saw and that looks like a slow and difficult process to churn out firewood.

Got a link? on my phone

Why not build a hydraulic splitter
The x27will surprise you it's light and a good as a 8lb maul or better much like Stihl chain price/performance v Blount inc branded chain, a trade off that's worth it pricey but good, that said

Having thoughts of a hydraulic splitter to make some return from firewood and saws

Seen Superaxe splitters by whitland engineering as a Local made product v ebay.
They are coming west for a field day

any body else have one, any make

Ive seen those splitters that go on the wheel ,probably ok for soft wood i would think, dont know how they would go with hard stuff, they were cut about 14'' long

The whitlands engineered products have a good reputation......

The Chinese products may not share that reputation but theyre about a quarter of the price of the aussie stuff...

There's a lot of hydraulic splitters being sold in mower shops and even seen them in Stihl dealers....branded Oregon or similar and they are claiming they're made in the USA.....they are not.....they are cheap Chinese POS with a price tag double what they should be....

This company sells both petrol and diesel and offers a decent warranty...prices are good and so are the products
