Got into some more spotted gum yesterday, husky splitter's still holding up well.
Also came across this little fella, don't see so many round here, normally the more deadly type!

Have one of these:Having thoughts of a hydraulic splitter to make some return from firewood and saws
Seen Superaxe splitters by whitland engineering as a Local made product v ebay.
They are coming west for a field day
any body else have one, any make
Yes please, if there is any spare. If it helps any, if your seller can get the roll to Vancouver before Saturday, I have a relly coming back from there. NZ post from NZ to Aus is way cheaper than AusPost from Aus to here.also do you guys have a use for any part of stihl lowpro
As in a wheel hub screw on a jacked up car
I use a 6-8lb wedge, big sledge/8lb splitter and a x27 fiskars.
And am longterm looking at a local made splitter-- any Great ones there's one that's coming to dowerin from east

Nah, that's another maker. Quite a few over the last few years but only the original, supersplit has been making these for what I think is over 20 years (so long the patent protection has run out).Isn't that company a site sponsor

That little toy splitter has split over 1000m3.some ones been busy
Come over and bring that little splitter with you.....I think it would split half of it no problem but the other half of gnarly box I think it would give in the ghost early.
I've got 30 Cu mtrs here that needs to be split and will have double that by the end of next month.
Need to hire one before summer or just bite the bullet and buy the diesel one from klika.com.au
looks great but its another $600 to get the 40T & $800 for the 50T diesel West = $2700 to me????The whitlands engineered products have a good reputation......
The Chinese products may not share that reputation but theyre about a quarter of the price of the aussie stuff...
There's a lot of hydraulic splitters being sold in mower shops and even seen them in Stihl dealers....branded Oregon or similar and they are claiming they're made in the USA.....they are not.....they are cheap Chinese POS with a price tag double what they should be....
This company sells both petrol and diesel and offers a decent warranty...prices are good and so are the products
