Hi. Thought id pop into this thread and say hi. Im new to this sight. Ive only ever really thought of using the Internet in relation to chainsaws untill recently.
Ive been cutting fire wood for roughly 14 years or so. Since i was a kid on a farm. In my work i fell a few trees. Usually. Larger ones plus cut a lot of wood that bob with his little saw couldnt get through.

I have a lot of work saws but i only own 3. An arbourist saw. A small husqvarna that hasnt been started in ages. I only have it to let others use and a stihl 660 which i see as the smallest saw that i would ever use next to the arbourist saw. Id like an 880 but dont have enough work yet to justify one.

im self employed and do everything from farm fencing, lawn mowing, tree felling, wood cutting, moonlighting as a diesel mechanic to building sheds and occasionaly getting paid to shoot.

After reading through this sight ive figured out I still have a lot to learn about the subject.

Welcome Muffo.

My fave saws are the little ones that I can throw around all day. My second fave saws are the bigger ones where the little ones aren't up to the job, but that's not too often.

I do want a 661, but it wouldn't get much use alongside my 461.

An 880? Do you plan on milling some timber?

Welcome mate, they're a crazy bunch here at times but you sound like you'll fit in well! We don't take stuff to seriously most of the time, we cover a wide range of topics and generally just a lot of **** stirring really. [emoji2]

Thats good im good at shot stiring.
Thats why i like the 660 you can throw it around all day and i do. By the time you put a 16 inch bar on it its lighter than a 461.
Mostly i want an 880 or maybe a ported 661 for cutting large firewood but id also like to make some table tops. I used an 880 and now i just find the 660 painfully slow

Putinz my hero, puts the west leaders to shame
Any port in a desert storm. Can't say he's a saint but compared to the psychopaths of the USA and NATO military industrial complexes, at least he is prepared to put his balls on the line and get the fother mucking job done when asked to help. Onwards to Iraq.

Phuck the CIA, MIC, various stooges, and a biggest middle finger possible to the perennial shitstirrers in and originating from, Israel. Oh, and Saudi sand rats better be sleeping with one eye open too.

Bloody busy day today ! Unload 3 20' containers; about 50 tons of steel sitting there.

Wanna swap? I've been doing this for the last couple of weeks. 2000 12mm holes per plate times 8 plates and 3 ops in each plate cause we're 50mm short on y axis travel. All in 630ss!
