Neil, them aprons sound great, wish I had a need for one right now, lol, seriously tho, I need to get a few things myself, got the leather here and the tools, just time eludes me at the moment. Need to make up a set of wedge pouches, a holster for the girth tape and tools, any one got pics for ideas?

Has anyone know of an app for android that'll calculate and tally up log volumes? I'm back logging in hardwood now and I have trying to find an app, found one but the darn thing is in Russian, fat lot of good that does me!

I guess it doesnt help if you delete the "ski" from the back of the words. Chop down the trees is probably "chopski down the treeskis"

Green book Will, and a calculator thats all you need. (timber ready reckoner)
Most paper shops carry them in timber areas. I can get one and send it up to you it you want.
That fella wants about $45.00 for his fallers pouches, they are roughly the same as my ones i have. One of our falling mates wife made ours just so we could get them.

Haha gotta love those Russians and their clever idears. I 'll have a look for an app too, would be very handy. If not, I might have to get a Russian friend to translate it ;)

got a few of the books and calcs around in the trucks, figure if I had an app on the phone it would be always with me, be quicker when tallying up truck loads before they leave, make sure they are within limits. Not a desperate need, just a "would be nice to have" sorta thing.

hahahaha, love the "ski" bit :hmm3grin2orange:

Well you've left yourself wide open there old son :D

Matt, I like leather, there is no denying but I also enjoy a little bird watching. Saw this nice one down at the beach this morning.

You won't be dissapointed with the aprons Al.
I payed i think $69.00 including G for both aprons, 1st is a full apron without pockets and the 2nd is a half apron without pockets. He said a couple of dollars extra for a wide pocket or maybe wide pocket but stiched in the middle for 2 pockets.
They are made from soft light brown thick hyde, very flexable and not too heavy. The belts are stiff dark brown leather machine stitched, with rivets and he asked how many would i like.
But as he said, he can do it any way the customer wants useing the materials the customer wants.

The other aprons i used were stiff dark brown hyde with thin belts that break on the hole needed, take 2 months to break in and wear out in 6 - 8 months.
Their cost are something like $180.00 for a full apron and $90.00 for a half apron.
I should take a pic of these new ones and post.

OK Neil, I am hooked. When you say 1/2 apron is that just from the waist down - or a knee length apron (like my wife would use in the kitchen)? That is what I need but it has to be reasonable length as I am not short. Kind of like this style that I googled is what I want.
