Good stuff. In my experience more people swap from Stihls to Huskies than the other way around. Now you'll have to change your sig

heres a quote from a leading USA race competitor and builder from another raceing forum,,,,

We run multiple cuts. We run a cold
start. We are all getting older!! That's
when you switch to huskys!!! The
extra horse power makes up for the
old age.

that sums things up nicely i think. So if some are just changeing over to stihls,,,,, they have a long way to go...

do ya's know if the 41" Stihl (Bigmount) Rollomatic ES bar is available threw a stihl dealer still, when i asked for some prices i forgot to ask and only got info on the 36" ES .... gota be making me Santa order

Psychology 101

If you start with a cage containing five monkeys and inside the
cage, hang a banana on a string from the top and then you place a set
of stairs under the banana, before long a monkey will go to the
stairs and climb toward the banana.

As soon as he touches the stairs, you spray all the other monkeys
with cold water.

After a while another monkey makes an attempt with same result ...
all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon when
another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try
to prevent it.

Now, put the cold water away.

Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one.
The new monkey sees the banana and attempts to climb the
stairs. To his shock, all of the other monkeys beat the crap out of
him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to
climb the stairs he will be assaulted.

Next, remove another of the original five monkeys, replacing it
with a new one.

The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous
newcomer takes part in the punishment...... with enthusiasm, because
he is now part of the "team".

Then, replace a third original monkey with a new one, followed by
the fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the
stairs he is attacked.

Now, the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they
were not permitted to climb the stairs. Neither do they know why they
are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.

Finally, having replaced all of the original monkeys, none of the
remaining monkeys will have ever been sprayed with cold water.
Nevertheless, not one of the monkeys will try to climb the stairway
for the banana.

Why, you ask? Because in their minds...that is the way it has
always been!

This, my friends, is how Parliament operates... and this is
why, from time to time:

ALL of the monkeys need to be REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME.

Thanks Matt, my little yellow Dolmar is missing the choke lever, I'll be up your way in January.
How did you go with the 115i ? they are good 50cc firewood saws, the 115i is the same cc as the yellow Dolmar (111) but the 115i
is higher revving (different cylinder) they also had a sturdier chain brake.

Got the 115i running and didn't actually change or fix anything. I wonder why the hell the Stihl Shop said it was stuffed? Runs like a clock.
Nice little saw and runs an 18" .325" bar buried in hardwood fine.
They must have wanted to sell a new Stihl I guess so made out the Dolmar no worky...

Tim had been in Police work for 25 years.

Finally sick of the stress, he quits his job and buys 500 acres of land in
Queensland as far from humanity as possible.

He sees the postman once a week and gets groceries once a month.
Otherwise
it's total peace and quiet.

After six months or so of almost total isolation, someone knocks on his
door. He opens it and a huge, bearded man is standing there.

'Name's Mark, your neighbor from forty miles up the road. Having a
Christmas party Friday night. Thought you might like to come at about
5:00...'

'Great', says Tim, 'after six months out here I'm ready to meet some local
folks Thank you.'

As Mark is leaving, he stops. 'Gotta warn you. Be some drinking'.'

'Not a problem' says Tim. 'After 25 years in the business, I can drink with
the best of 'em'.

Again, the big man starts to leave and stops.

'More 'n' likely gonna be some fighting' too.'

'Well, I get along with people, I'll be all right! ..

I'll be there. Thanks again.'

'More'n likely be some wild sex, too,'

'Now that's really not a problem' says Tim, warming to the idea. 'I've been
all alone for six months! I'll definitely be there.. By the way, what should
I wear?'

'Don't much matter. Just gonna be the two of us.'

It's good when dealers class saws as not worth fixing.. with real major problems such as split fuel line, broken AV rubber or carb inlet needle set too high :hmm3grin2orange:

Their loss our gain :D

He has some deals on at times.
Just added up my bars in my head.
Last count 29 bars
!6 still new from 12 inch to 72 inch.

I've still got bars in my shed from that deal. I helped him sort them out after we picked them up from the freight depot. There was some bloody good bars in that lot but also a sh*tload of odd sizes, guages, fitments etc and most of the DL counts were incorrect. He was offloading them for some crazy prices. It made the arse of his ute sit down a bit too. There was 1750 bars all up. That was nearly 4 years ago now and there was also a swag of extra long bars but mostly the older discontinued roller nosed ones. I still have two 60" ones for the 3120 with one on the mill.

Peter from Coona Sawchain does some great deals on GB too.
