I am pretty sure they do or can order stuff for you, my dealer up here has a cabinet full of Stihl goodies. Benn*e would know more.

Dear Rick.
Your assessment in regard to flippy caps is false. I just dislike Stihl saws because Andrew likes them.
It's as simple as that. I'm not one of these sheeple who follow other Stihl saw users because they think it's cool even though Andrew would be a kool kat to imitate.
I ride solo when it comes to saw choice. People be hatin' but I just keep rollin'.
Regards,
Matt

Hey pm bennn*e. He'll be able to tell you what Stihl merchandise is listed. They have a heap. As of yesterday I'm the proud owner of a Stihl Timbersports vest, even though I'll be running a Husky while wearing it :D

Matt i will tell ya something but keep it to your self,i put 2 tanks of fuel through the 241C today its no good and it has them impossible to use flippy cap thingys.
Dont tell anyone.:msp_sneaky:

Matt get it ported so that Wayne can have a bit more fun :msp_thumbup: The ported ones go pretty good.

Do ported saws go better, well there you go. :msp_sneaky:

If you blokes cant opperate a saw with flippy caps thens ya should not be opperating a saw at all.

cannot argue with that,,,, what are flippy caps ????

I have already retired 3 stihls because I can't get those darn flippy caps to work, ahh well they make good paper weights I guess :monkey:

Yeah Neil, I read it on AS so it must be true. I have run both (ported and non ported saws) and both make chainsaw noises so it must be true.

Ok thank you for confamation Rudi on ported saws.
I agree mate, if its been posted on AS then its cospel, no one lies or tells bull sh#t in this forum.

Next question, who can do mine

I would recommend Matt... I have heard he is pretty handy with a rat tail rasp for all those tight transfers. His array of pricision tools also include a 9" inch grinder for base cutting and a powerful Aldi's die grinder for smoothing out everything else.

Thanks for that advise,, is he a trusted porter, I mean has his work been tested in the field then recommended by happy clients.

I have heard it takes skill to use those tools you mentioned with precision, I mean the rat tail file may be ok but that Aldi die grinder,,,,,,,,,, is he capable of using such tooling.

I have tried making inquiries about his port work, but it seems information is few and far between... similar to that of the cutty cutty long time chain. Hmmm reminds me of a certain secret squirrel...

But Matt did say that we can take his word for it - he does great work.

I was worried about that,,,,
Also testing saws in the hotel is a little dubiouse, after the 1st scooner the saw is running nice and crisp but after 10 scooners a pattern seems to form, the saw is real fast and then the bar girl gets the shi ts and demands all the saw dust be cleaned up before closeing. Funny thing that, happens every time.
