Matt 2 XL is my size.

What a coincidence. So is mine :D

Matt i will tell ya something but keep it to your self,i put 2 tanks of fuel through the 241C today its no good and it has them impossible to use flippy cap thingys.
Dont tell anyone.:msp_sneaky:

The only reason Stihl invented M-Tronic was for better fuel efficiency so that the flippy caps didn't have to get used as much.

Yeah Neil, I read it on AS so it must be true. I have run both (ported and non ported saws) and both make chainsaw noises so it must be true.

Apparently those chainsaw noises can suddenly stop if somebody does bad porting. So I've heard...

I would recommend Matt... I have heard he is pretty handy with a rat tail rasp for all those tight transfers. His array of pricision tools also include a 9" inch grinder for base cutting and a powerful Aldi's die grinder for smoothing out everything else.

Bloody hell Rudy. That was a secret between you and me. Now every bastard will want a saw ported...

is he capable of using such tooling.

As if I'd tell you Neil after you stole my shipment of Chinese race chains...

Husky flippy caps, what are yus going to do know.

I think that is just a flip up piece to aid in grip. They are still a threaded cap.

Hang on if the Stihl flippys are PPE how come Husky went the same way.

Can you retrofit a Stihl flippy on an older saw ?

Nope.

Can you thread a new Husky cap with the flip up handle onto an older Husky, or for that matter a Dolmar/Makita ?

Yep.

Screw thread=Tried and trusted design

1/4 turn fastener with unpredictable sealing AKA a Stihl flippy=PPE

:D

Both Husky and Stihl should forget about inventing new fuel caps and put decent air filters on ALL their pro saws... now that would be a real improvement ;)

Whats wrong with the HD2 filters, there the only ones that work.

Wayne's saying they need them on ALL their pro saws :)

Just like I reckon any 64/73/7900 sold here should have the HD filter as standard.
That's the only real problem with the good old DCS9010, the flocked filter just isn't up to snuff for firewood/dead timber cutting.
