keep them away from ya brother inlaw

Yeah, that's for sure, last time I will trust some one to sharpen them,
I thought my chains might be stuffed and have to buy new ones, I will get some new one any way, when I figure out the cheapest place to get them
Regards Peter

Thanks for the tip, I also waiting to hear back about the files

Hi Peter and sorry but missed the above photos of your completely toasted chains. Been using my phone and iPad because I'm away for work and because of the small screen have been missing posts etc.
7/32" files will be fine for those chains.
The blued cutters won't be wrecked. Generally that bluing won't go in far and a quick brush on a grinder (with somebody who knows what they're doing) will bring up fresh, unaffected metal again.
The reason you're probably having trouble filing those cutters is because they were overheated.
I'll reply to your PM now.

Yes i said fix you up not rip you off.:smile2:

Good advise.
Matt is the go for consumerable saw related items at an affordable price.

(No disrespect to any chainsaw dealerships, since Matt pays for the privilege to advertise his business here, he deserves a little plug now and then)

nice legs, need to sumthin with yer hair :msp_rolleyes:

Back in the old days before chaps they used to use their hair to clog up the saw sprocket etc as a safety measure. Accidental cuts to the back of the neck were rare but the mullet stopped the saw immediately.

If I was a logger I could claim that's why I now part my hair in a circle, but sadly it aint so. :(

It got caught in a belt drive on a race car instead :monkey:

The #2 I now sport fixes everything, it just means a beanie on these cold starts :D

Yes mate, you are so correct regarding the hair, now I am older I don't know how I ever put up with it.
We were never show ponies so what you see is what you get, funny thing no one ever put sh#t on us back at the hotel.(at least not to our face anyway).
We only had to wear hard hats (in date) and ear protection back then.
