a real pro all right.
Next question. I like seeing guys put up stuff like that, makes me feel quite comfortable knowing my job is safe.

That does not do that little saw any justice at all.

Good morning Bob......
Do you remember your last race meeting at Bulahdelah some years ago. Let me refresh your memory.
You could not start your saw in the correct safe manner, a guy from the crowd came into the areana (uninvited and without any PPE) and got your saw started for you.
Well after the meet was over he stayed back and we had a talk about his uninvited entry into our areana.
He apolagised as he had no idea but felt sorry for this bloke who just could not get his saw going and the rest were waiting at the blocks.
He asked if he could join up and have a go. I told him of what is required, the basic skill level required and what he needs to to to meet that criteria, he said he will try.
He joined the association (this was excepted on grounds he did the nessessary training), come to meetings and watched, asked questions, helped in the areana, came to training days.
He proved over time he could do the mimimum standard then started in the ring himself.
the rest is history.
-he now races regularly in NSW and QLD.
-has had 2 appearances at national level (even made a final in open speed)
-has made many finals in both speed and disc events, now winning an odd event
-has won 3 novice post events and is now competing in open post rips
-has appeared 1 time in a state of oregin post rip (representing NSW)
-has become a committee member to our association
-he still listens and learns every meeting

Not bad for a guy with no raceing experience, no timber industry experience and works in the mines.

I don't think we did a bad job training him at all, he even does his own chains (with a little help)

One thing he never does is Skite about his progress

he's keen, even wearing state colours to training and is becoming another success story.

If a guy out of the crowd can do it, that does not say much for you with all your knowledge, experience and know how.

Yes Brian has done well and it was he who helped me, as regards putting people down and not offering verbal support but yelling and jumping up and down why for the life of me i dont know the saw was started in a clear and safe area and on the ground secured by two people maybe i'm not the big tuff fella you are but hey thats how nature made me .......... you have a habit of yelling at people including your son remember i'm not him

You finished slinging mud .... i like a few others am no professional timbercutter i found others jobs in life where better PR was required and a more civil tonque.
Between yourself and Dean you both have the habit of a small fella atitude and since Dean is a Teacher you would think that bullying was for school kids some example
both of you display ............ so take a nerve pill and settle down yep your short but you can be still lovable notice i didn't use any fowl or offensive language

After all wasnt a truce agreed too months ago you seem to thrive on drama if you do keep it in your own small teacup ............. luv and kisses Bob xxxxxxxxxxxxx

The only decent cut he did was the one in his chaps.
Guys like this are dangerous as they only think they know what they're doing.

So blokes what brand, make is this bar,if you were to change the sprocket nose what, where, how could you get one ?.

20" Chainsaw BAR FOR Stihl 3 8 063 Chain Sprocket Nose | eBay

Betcha it's made in China, not the USA.
The steel may come from the US (and I highly doubt that too) but seeing as it looks like an Oregon knockoff there's a fair chance an Oregon nose will fit, or the better version was the German Carlton single rivet noses.
Which reminds me, I need to order a spare or two from the Mattster. :D

It could be a Qiri bar, or any number of Chinese Oregon fakes.

I don't think anyone makes bars in the US. Isn't the Oregon/Blount bar plant in Canada ? as is Cannon.

interesting found this TW shut down
