I spose it is ,seen as they gotta cast everything twice as thick just to get half the oem strength

Yeah and the embedded sand particles probably don't help either...

Lol, I remember reading about Indian Lister engine copies. The guys importing them suggest flushing the engine out before using it to remove the sand left over from the casting process. It's not like sand is abrasive or anything...

Well at least mine want need repairs Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

For god sake man, do they need repairs or do they want repairs or both. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha HA

Don't tell me its gone back for repairs already

Perhaps its already paid for itself and the builder wanted to check it over.

That later model flux capacitor won't work properly in the older units,i'm pretty sure that the older units had a more realistic gigawatt rating as the new ones claim the same specs but are actually lower and will result in a differential split of the space time continuem:D

That's because the later flux capacitors are Chinese copies.

Still working out of a book I see ?

What happened to using the noggin sitting on top of the shoulders and being creative ?

Failed Sunday School too ?
Funnily enough my middle name is 'Moses' :D

No need to get nasty Rick :) My bad on the Moses Noah thingy. Didn't they both have grey beards? Closest I got to Sunday School was when I accidentally belted a cricket ball through their window at the Loxton Primary School. God didn't save them from a few shards of glass sadly. I actually would have expected the hand of god to catch it and throw it back. Either that or I was going to get smited from a bolt of lightning.

on a serious note fellas ,I want to upgrade to a new smart phone but don't know what, what are you guys using and whats your opinions, will need to run on the Telstra network as nothing else works out this way ,rural, wan't something I can do internet with and still make calls in marginal areas,so it has to be blue tick.......probly asking a bit to much

As per Will my personal phone is a HTC ONE XL. My work phone is an iPhone 4S. I also have an iPad for work.
As far as I'm concerned all smart phones have issues. I've had Windows based phones and they suck dog balls. Apple gear as per Rick's comments really gives me the sh*ts. They all want to talk to each other, you install iTunes on your computer and next thing every bloody media file has been converted to iTunes or bloody .mov format etc etc. I had my work phone somehow link in with my bloody iPad and all of a sudden I've got all my Facebook contacts in my farken phone list. Took ages to work out how to get rid of them.
I spend a lot of time on the edge of phone reception and my iPhone definitely has more range than the HTC despite both having blue ticks. I'd rate my HTC as tougher for sure. A heap of guys that I know with iPhones have dropped them on the corner of the glass and busted the screens. It doesn't take much. iPhone has far better battery life than my HTC. If I had a choice I wouldn't touch anything Apple however the iPad is an invaluable tool for what I do. On the fly emails, mapping on the go, reporting on pests and disease etc etc. I can access chemical labels, MSDS's, email orders through. Excellent little unit although I'm sure other tablets would perform the same or better.
Best work phone I've had is the Nokia base model 6120/6210 etc. Batteries last for ages, they have excellent range, and they do everything a work phone needs to do. We've only got iPhones for email access although I haven't enabled that as my iPad follows me everywhere for mapping and consulting, reports etc etc.
I've had some days where I've had 60+ calls and have been on the phone for around 6-7 hours in a day. I'm sure I'll end up with a brain tumour. A running joke amongst a few of my agronomy mates is that we should swap pockets with our phones occasionally in case we end up with uneven testical sizes and start walking on a lean or in circles.
I've had the basic Nokias as work phones for around 10 years. Dropped them a lot, had to replace a few batteries here and there, but great little phones. The Nokia smart phones however have let me down a number of times. Nothing but trouble with those.

Well, sort of a wasted day.

I finally got my fork lift at, drum roll please, 3:30!

Can't complain, I was borrowing a mates fork and his chief mechanic but I've been trying to swing this all week just to get two air conditioners installed and it was only across the road from their workshop !

I did do the Sunday School thing (I get the idea Mum and Dad were hoping it might help ) and you're right, they all sported big, flowing grey beards in the story books, basically Charlton Heston playing Moses in cartoon form !

I can't recall one Bible character of 'Middle Eastern Appearance' at all. :msp_confused:

Busy playing with my new stuff that finally came from Baileys. No free workbench, so out comes the folding table.

Just put the 20" techlite on the 576xp, along with a Woodland Pro 38RC chain (actually Carlton A2 chain). Looks pretty.... Till it goes cutting.

View attachment 299033

Also got some logrite gear and a wetterlings splitting maul and then small bits including some save edge and pferd files, service items like spare air filters, oil filler plug, square chisel chain for my 261 etc.

Hoping to go use the saws on Sunday/Monday.

Nice techlite bar! is it 050 gauge?

Oh and has baileys shipping improved at all or did yours also take 6 weeks?

I went .058 gauge. Trying to get everything 3/8 .058 to have some consistency.

Only have an 18" .050 guage bar on the mastermind 261, which is what the square chisel chain is for. Also got some files to try hand filing it square. Failing that, I'll grind it to round if I stuff it.

Shipping was slow due to a couple of long back orders then an issue about a promotion they didn't want to honour and wanting to increase shipping costs to send ups not USPS.

The logrite stuff had a big saving compared to an Australian web shop, enough to practically cover the freight on the lot and then some if USPS, but not ups (about $100 more).

Matt, those htc's are tuff, I have dropped mine plenty of times and still going, no cracks, I did buy a cheap rubber case and a cheapo screen cover for it when I got it and that has helped heaps I reackon.

Rudi, yup found an expansion chamber app and some other two-stroke stuff, the exhaust calculator I am still trying to work out to get a pipe that makes sense, so far no luck.

I have sent a message to the warwick wonder saw bloke asking about a stage 5 port job and what difference there is from stages 1-4, responce was
"In general terms, there is a "race port" and a "work" or "woods port". A good work port ads 15-30% to the cut speed without sacrificing engine life. The saw actually runs cooler because of the increased fuel/oil mixture going thru the engine and the exhaust being opened up. A race port adds much more than that but at a cost in engine life.Stage 5 (woodsport) requires substantional time to expand the intake and exhaust ports of a saw. The higher the number the higher amount of intake/exhaust expansion."

I'm thinking "race port!?" hahahahahaha

Hooroo

You're coming up via Peake? What the hell? Not much to see there mate apart from sand and mallee trees :) Tiny little place.

Did Baileys stuff up your postage costs? Gee, who would have thunk it. Only dealt with them 4 times and they ballsed it up 3 of those.
