No no no Will, that can not run south of the fence,,,, tie straps are a direct violation of the rules and is there fore unexceptable.
Other than that,,, bitsa's can be interesting toys if built by racers for racers.

You know you have a good bitsa when zip ties help hold it together :D

Frankensaw

Been putting together a saw to do some diskstacking with, it is an under 77cc class, wanted another 372xp but haven't gotten a complete one yet.

Combined a Jred 2071, Husq 372, and some ching-a-ling copy bits and ended up with this
attachment.php

Also added a full wrap handlebar and a BB kit from Matt (bar, chain, starter and chainbreak cover also from Matt) Just got it back together and have had a few cuts with it, happy with it, cuts strong, would like to get a few tanks through it before this weekend, but ah stuff it, will just race it and see what happens. It won't win a purty saw contest, but it does cut fast  no shelf queens in my camp

Well you traitor Will, they won't let that run in Qld as its half Chinese and a mungrel mix at that, Neil and MCW have a patent on that type of saw after all they are strong believers in mixed blood and The Abba Supporters with their sawing queens will be doing backflips

Being involved in this through work....

The people don't have that many transferable skills and there are SFA jobs in Tas anyway.

The first exit grants didn't rule out working in native forests on the mainland, so that's what a lot of haulage contractors did - they took their trucks and went. A mate reckoned a fair number turned up around Townsville all with Tassie plated trucks and skels.

These ones required individuals to leave, but equipment could be sold to others. However there isn't much forestry activity regardless in Tasmania now post agreement and lockup of even more area.

I know of one truck contractor who now operates an excavator in a mine in FNQ, all his exit package did was pay off the banks, he sold the trucks, and still has an excavator with grapple and skidder parked (as there is no market in Tas).

Others got enough cash to pay off some debt and have a basic retirement, being over 60.

If there is a prOblem, it is in the design by the government.

Looks good, just wondering is that an ebay special or did you build the 372 from parts?

No, it's not one of those $4000 hot rod ported junk saws with tennis racket tape around the handle bar if that's what you mean.
I've built from the bottom end up, changed the carb, piston and cylinder
I think I'll do a popup for it now...
I'd like to port it but it would be my first time, so I think I'll leave the cylinder alone for now

I was just referring to the starter cover as I hadn't heard of a Husqvarna 372xp Special. The 365 is the only "special" I know of.

We knew it wasn't one of those most fully sick race saws as you didn't get sucked into the intake when you gave it some throttle and the earth's gravitational pull didn't get cancelled out by it's torque.

Don't be silly Rudy. We all have saws that are special. Some are like REALLY special and some are special needs. My Chinese 070 was definitely special needs but luckily Wayne took over as it's carer.

I have a special saw to, it has 365 on the side but it goes a bit better than your average 365 :D

I saw the report last night on the abc, and looks like its the same as what happened her in NSW a few years ago. I have been involved with the down size in our north coast timber industry, I did not take the hand out, to this day I have regretted it, but I have done well by staying, only thing is I am not trained to do anything else.

Crikeys Matt, I want one of those please......

And some just get raved about to anyone and everyone and then just get put away and forgotton or shelved (for a better word) and never actually run at all.

My block button is working very well, great little invention that is.

Now we are skiteing Rudi.....:msp_sneaky: So where do I get one of those ''special 365's'', mate.

I love the block button too Neil.
Unfortunately after using it on everybody in this thread that I didn't like I ended up talking to myself all the time.

Well, yes Matt, I see your point, I guess we are not mean't to block everyone. So then you start answering your own posts and likeing some we will know we are on the blocked list again....

Can't wait to get a run against that Bitsa,,,, Will, been thinking about it all day.
