And a warn winch to get out again

You'd want an 8274 or Serg's Hydro winch, my XD9000 wouldn't be fast enough :D

You can change that XD9000 to a 9.5XP with a change of the motor Rick and have the fastest line speed under load. The 8274 (as fitted to my GU with the 6HP motor) is fastest unloaded. (I think, all from memory!) :msp_rolleyes:

Needs serious pulling power I think the mid mounted pto winch on a 101 may do it

I'm really surprised none of us have suggested using a snatch block yet either........

:monkey:

Redgum stump im 6' 4''

Are you planking there Andrew?!? Lol

I believe the "Ada tree" near Noojee in Victoria is the largest tree on the mainland. photos can't do it justice!

It's 75 meters tall. But they state that its one of the tallest living trees in Vic. Not Aust. It's a Mountain Ash.
It's been hit by lightning in years gone by and that was likely to have been as tall as 120 meters

Will have to offset the winch about 35 40 mm to fit that motor.
I went from an XD to a XP.

Yeah there are some monsters down in Tasmania. There is some gigantic Eucalyptus regnans (one is the 2nd tallest tree in the world at present) and some huge Stringybarks at Tahune.

The airwalk is 30 odd metres off the ground.

Don't bother with that old lump of metal, just send it here and maybe I can do something with it... :msp_wink:

:msp_biggrin:

side mounted ;) the run a little shaft out the side of the Lt95 through the chassis and the winch is outboard on the left side chassis rail. AFAIK only good for 4000lb?

Ehhhh that's piss weak given the size of the vehicle but I guess being a lr it would only be used to extract other lesser vehicles

At least the 101 had decent diffs, CV's and axle sizes and a nice, strong g/box-t/case.

The winch was probably only designed to move artillery that was stuck anyway.
