I have never slabbed my self so I don't claim to know anything about the subject but I sell 46RCX to a client so slabs with a lucas mill. It is .404 chipper chain at 10' standard sequence. he removes anywhere between 3, 5, or 7 teeth and between a pair of cutters to help with chip clearance

Carlton make .404 full chisel with a factory 10 tooth or dl spacing I can't remember now and Oregon make a similar version to RCX but I priced it once and it was stupidly expensive

Semi Chisel/ripping at 10° for sure. 30° etc also does a good job but doesn't leave as nice of a finish as the 10° angle.

I mill purely for building materials ,30 deg gets the job done faster but the finnish isn't as good,i use 36RM

I used one of these on the weekend best file handle ever GA98A, Handle, File

what's wrong with an old corn cobb or a valve stem from a tubeless tyre...?????? See all kinds of holders in farmers sheds and of coarse they all work. (according to them)
Many bushmen have cut off a little green limbs and use that.

I still like the old Oregon wooden holders that came out years ago, they were good, some of the cheap plastic stuff is barely there tho and some are all but useless especially when you have to pack the hole so a small file doesn't fall out.

My completely useless words of wisdom for today, have a nice day men.

Bob, I will send him some email addresses later after work, I know quite a few business who may give him a go or maybe steer him to someone who will.

Your dead right Matt, immigrants who will work are the ones we want if we are going to except them.

Good on ya Neil. The guy sounds like he wants to work. Down there or up here...we'll take every one of those that comes along.
