Well what do you know? I have an Associated RC10B4 Team edition. I used to play around with an old pommy built PB Mini Mustang 4WD in the late 80's, early 90's. Back then there wasn't any Ni-MH/Li-Po batteries and Sanyo 1400mah SCR's and Sanyo 1700mah SCE's were the go. You'd suck a lump of gravel in the brushed motor doing 30,000 + rpm and it would cut straight through the windings on the motor. You'd have to retrue the commutator every 10-20 runs. I pimped it out with all the good gear (ball diffs, Kyosho Gold shocks, fine tooth belt drive system, Tekin PRO 250ESC, Futaba radio gear, 48DP gears, Trinity 10 quad wind motor, single piece UJ driveshafts etc etc) and all up it was about a $2200 car. Nowadays you can set one up for 1/4 of that price. It used to do about 80kph and the battery would be flat in 2 minutes and that hot you couldn't even touch it.
Ah those were the days. Memories...

I've still got the PB in the shed but stripped the belt about 10 years ago and you can't get spares anymore dammit.

Kids now don't realise how bloody lucky they've got it :)

I just threw a match on the 241 and 390 Rudi. If I can't enjoy them then nobody else will.

Tits too big. I'd get a sore neck laying on those.

I'd give it a shot for a night or two though.
