Every time you say something like this Terry I find it quite offensive. You are suggesting that everybody who doesn't share your point of view is somehow unable to process information accurately or are mentally substandard.


That's all I'll say on this but remember that this is a chainsaw forum. People should be peddling their wares elsewhere on the web on other likeminded forums where you can get unanimous support with your beliefs.

ugh head cold bah been fighting it off past days but its winning today dam it, i got a pile of wood to cut chop n stack n was going sking Sunday so thats off grr and now the dear wife will feed me all her salves and herbs sure with best intentions but they do jack just make me fart.


Any one know of or used or even seen one of these I'm liken to change over the 22/77 Ruger bunny gun but at $grand + I want to be sure the claims are dinks been readin some say crap but many saying tip top gear

Had a gut full of my POS air compressor.
Anyone got some suggestion of brands that are the go.
Single phase 50L tank max are the specs I am looking at.

Ive had a cast iron v twin "Renegade" brand from Trade Tools in QLD since for almost 20 years. They make/get made themselves and still do. Its 13cfm in the old money. Alot now are smaller pumps and more run time. The small ones are good for transport but in the shed Id look at the biggest pump you can run (less work more air flow for those air hungry tools)

On another note, went to finish off a love job yesterday arvo and only had 4 small weld to do....no gas!!! get the old arc welder out and rods have gone dodgy....had to put them in the oven to get any good and I suck at arc welding.

The muffler shop that did my muffler just the other day (average job btw ) stuck their bloody sticker on my rear window without asking. That ####s me

my mates got an MTD compressor, green thing it is, its near bloody silent! sounds like its hardly working. if i was buying one id buy nothing else. its even on pneumatic tyres!!! i think his is 70L but they do all sizes.
mine is an auction house win, $5. loud but good, will run a big rattle gun and a decent spray gun, maybe not at the same time but im not that handy, as it were! think i need to knock up a silencer for it!!!

defo go with an MTD tho, am HUGELY impressed with the one down the road.

hmmm, im beginning to doubt myself, i cant find any info in the net! slow sunday morning head on. ill try n find a link....

hmmm, very odd. i cant find any trace of those compressors anywhere!!! anyone seen em? lightish green, blow up tyres, run REALLY quiet. im SURE it said MTD on the side in black. maybe thats just the tank, i doubt it tho, it belonged to the wifes mechanic sister and she wouldnt have built it, im sure i remember her buying it. ill ask her. what a bunch of arse. glad i dont partake of the herb anymore. my memories bad enough!!!

+1 on the Renegade, one of the better brands out there and (mostly) Australian made. Have a look at the HD300 which is the largest single phase on the market from memory.
