Well I have my rifles sorted and they will be in my local dealers armory by this coming Friday .



Winchester Model 70 Stealth chambered in .308 Winchester and features an M.O.A. Trigger System. It has a checkered Bell and Carlson Stock that is textured with a full length aluminum bedding block and target forearm. The rifle also features a hinged floorplate, a Pachmayr decelerator recoil pad, and sling swivel studs.

i could have sold you this with the original stock as well as the boyds and has a threaded muzzle as well ... no scope and it's the one in the foreground.

and has an anodized one piece machined bottom metal as well.. it looks better than that tin they put on them...

the so called varmint tag they put on some rifles don't guarantee they are tack drivers , i've see skinny barrels that shot like stink (never been lucky enough to get one) and have seen more varmint type not shoot than shoot like they should .

with factory rifles it's a crap shoot you either get a good one or ya don't.....

I don't pick varmint for the sake of better accuracy in general ,skinny or varmint are much the same when you consider its only the bore that the projectile travels down, a projectile has no preference for barrel thickness ,but a heavy contoured barrel has the benefit of staying cooler for longer while dissipating heat from the bore, when shooting in volume. With the .22lr it matters very little as the heat build up is small , a varmint or skinny barrel on .22lr is the same regarding accuracy imo. I just prefer to have a heavy contoured barrel, especially on centrefires where there more needed, again if shooting volume
