Would you happen to have a picture?

Not a current one. I'll have to get one.

When are you going to start futzing around with a big Bantam?

I picked up an odd Bantam awhile ago. It has the thumb oiler like the 660's and 754's, as well as the red/white paint job and left hand starter, but is clearly marked "Bantam" and lacks the bottom plate under the rear handle. It's kinda weird, I think. Runs OK, too, but my 754 runs the best of my three.

Needing a clutch for a Lombard Comango. Got odds and ends to trade, will try to get an inventory made next week while I'm taking time off.

I have seen a couple of different kinds. If it looks like this one, you are welcome to it:

There's a guy with a 754 for sale (for $50 IIIRC) a couple hours drive (one way) from me. I may go look at another saw he has (non-Remington), and could probably be persuaded to pick up that 754 for someone here if they're in need of one...

Arrh, a kindly offer it is, and thankee kindly. However, the (broken) clutch I have uses two shoes aligned with small circular "pucks". I don't know if the threading or the outside diameter are at all similar to what you have there. Does anybody have any ideas?

I think I saw one, like that, once. :)

Could you post a picture of it? I have a box full of old clutches and I have no clue what most of them fit.

Try Joyce (chainsawlady here). Otherwise, I think ebay is your only option. PM me if Joyce can't help you. I'll send you some links to listings for the gasket. Do you have an IPL for these saws? If not............PM me your email address too and I'll send you an IPL later tonight. Gotta go for now. Need to pick up some boxes to ship some parts and saws out.

Make your own gaskets. It's easier than you think.

Stop by your F.L.A.P.S. (friendly local auto parts store) and get a roll of FelPro gasket paper, a leather punch from the craft store (star wheel thingy) misc other cutting equipment and have at it.

I once waited a week for a simple gasket for a Poulan top handle, but no more.

I considered it! isnt thickness pretty important on some gaskets? does felpro come in different thicknesses?

Let me know if you plan on going.

I set myself a $50 max, and an 80cc minimum for old saws.

Yes. And, they had a roll of rubberised fabric that I should have gotten for my C5 fuel tank.

For cutting out an inside circle (like a cylinder spigot) use a hole punch and nibble around untill you have room for your scissors. Or, just nibble the whole thing if the scissors won't fit.

I'm all for checking for piston clearence and going gasket-less.

But, sometimes it is "O.M.G. I need a 'D' handle."
