Just found an oddball item in a box of parts I bought

(Homelite) part# 55593-3
(Windsor) part# HO-36-D8

1/2" pitch 8 tooth gear

Fits Homelite 6-22, 7-21, 7-21C, 700G, 770G, 707G, 775G, Super Whiz

It's used, but in good condition.

If you're interested, PM with an offer. I don't have any saws or chain that'll be happy with this.

Somebody asked me about the C5 parts so i took some pix in the dark..

My bad, it's not for the C-series, I accidentally threw it in the same bin as the C-series stuff.

Remington Stuff

I'm looking for a starter, and starter cup for a Remington PL-5. Also, in need of one of the plastic snap on air filter covers for the Remington Mighty Mite.

I had 3 Mighty Mites, and made 2 good ones. So still a few parts left over if it would be of help to someone. I know it's a very common saw. I guess everyone just broke those air filter covers haha.

I'll have a leftover starter cup when I get my latest PL-4 put together in the next couple days. But, cannot help on the recoil starter parts except for a cover, dog and pulley.

The PL-5 parts saw was devoid of starter parts.

What I don't have, is the pair of fiber washers, preload spring, flat washer and 'E' clip to make a complete starter.

On my pl5 the spring loaded clips are worn off, and all the groves are worn away in the cup. Can I just file new groves into the cup? If not, I would be interested in yours.

When it is working correctly, you shouldn't even need grooves in the starter cup. The dogs will slide out to engage in the first 90 degrees of pulley rotation. Seldom do the dogs actually wear as a lot have been filed and bent to make them 'engage better'. The trick is to have the mechanism put together correctly with no oil on the fiber washers. One on each side of the dog assembly. Pressure from the spring and friction of the washers hold the dogs stationary as the pulley turns so they slide on the posts and extend out.
