Let me know if you plan on going.

I set myself a $50 max, and an 80cc minimum for old saws.

Will do. Does that max include shipping from me to you...........or would you be cool if the guy won't budge and it ends up being $50 plus shipping? I probably won't go for another week at least, as I'm about at the end of my saw money until next payday...

Bow bars make eveything better!

No...it's for the saw. Shipping is just what I have to deal with if the saw I want is somewhere else...which it almost always is.

If you have PayPal PM me when your plans firm up, or if you'd rather have a check, get me your address now, so it will get there on time. Let me know what you think shipping will be (I'll send the difference if you are low), plus some for the hassle of packing it up.

And thanks for the generous offer!

No problem. I'll get back to you when plans firm up. Gotta make sure I have money for gas and the saw of his that I'm interested in.....:D

When are you going to start futzing around with a big Bantam? Remingtons went to Viet Nam, 754s and a geardrive Bantam of some kind.

There was a military SL-55A on evilbay last week. I put a silly max. bid on it and left for Kansas City.

Someone got it for $5 more past silly.

I could just paint one of my 75A's O.D. green with a brush.

And, yes, a brush job would look more authentic. The NCOIC (noncomissioned officer in charge) would keep the privates busy painting things when there was nothing else to do. The devil finds work for idle hands.

Figured you need tortured with the sexiest chainsaw ever.

A couple of months ago I tried to get a Super 660 remington (20" roller nose bar) for $50 they wanted $75 and I just couldn't part with the money:bang: It ran but had some issues. They sure a easy on the eyes

I know il get the typical response of "go check FeeBay" but i still want to check. Anybody got a muffler housing or even just the front half, and a a used or new air filter for a C series Homelite?

I do about the same. Sometimes I make exceptions for things I'm especially enthusiastic about -- Partner P100's, for example -- but that's a very good guideline for maximizing your fun/noise/cool : cash ratio.

Keeps me out of trouble for the most part.

My wife is on to me though. I couldn't understand why she was mad that I picked up a free Poulan 361...she said "If you get it running, it won't be for free."

If anyone wants these few sl4 parts, they are yours for the cost of shipping, or trade me something if you must:)

FYI; The mount by the top handle is broken on the back side above the dog, but the other pieces are nice.

If only two weeks ago before I bid on that evilbay POS...................................................sigh!

Do you mean the one I pointed out to you Carl?:msp_unsure:

Nope, that's the one that needed a carb. box/handle. Except for the broken part the saw was mint! Someone had robbed the recoil spring.

Tore down the PL-4 parts saw and found an excellent piston and cylinder which percipitated the hunt for a handle, crankcase cover, clutch cover and recoil bits.

The saw you pointed out is now one fine runner. Didn't even have to clean the carb.

Now waiting on rings for the PL-4 so it can go back together.

The PL-4 parts saw:

I'll take 'em if nobody else has spoken for them. I have an SL4 that could use those parts. I'll pay shipping.
