Does this fit in this thread?

Modified Mark has already seen this, but I had to brag about my find.

150 psi and nice blue spark. Saw is completely original as far as I can tell and complete as well.

Dayum betcha it belongs.

Bet that puppy was used to cut oak for RR ties down there.

I don't know the history on it, but it was in use as recently as last year according to the previous owner. The chain moves freely and has fresh oil on it, so I had no reason to doubt him. According to Acres website, it's about 82cc's and 24 pounds. They must have measured the powerhead only and completely dry, 'cause I know it weighs at least 30 pounds.

thats one bad looking saw....if you ever wanna get rid of it:msp_biggrin:

I'll put you down as third in line. tbone over in the fight thread asked first and we have traded a lot of saws, I imagine he'll get this one and a 95 cc Dolmar I picked up at the same time.

lol, that old slug doesnt need anymore saws!!!!

Too late! The deal is done. Besides, John and I have traded more than a few saws and generally work well together. Now if I can get him to bite on a cherry little 036.....

Maybe he should just send his retirement check to me!

remington logmaster for parts

i picked up an old logmaster the other day its nothing i can use if anyone needs parts cheep shes pretty rough but some of it is still good recoil, top handle, gas oil caps, let me know thanx

I'm parting out some big front tank McCullochs.

A 450, a 250, and a 1-43. Everything's good, with the occasional small crack in a cover, and of course, some paint loss. PM me or email me at [email protected] (preferred) if you're interested in anything.

Two nice saws.

I just got home from a huge Auction, and picked up two very nice, Very old saws at what I think was a good price.

A huge Mercury KB6-AY It has a 7 HP motor on it. Not very often you find a two man chainsaw, so I had to buy it.

The second is a David Bradley Gear Reduction saw. Model # 917.60005

I normally only work on Remington saws. So I don't know much about these. The David Bradley looks like it was in running condition not too long ago. The Mercury 2 man looks like it has been sitting for a while. The gas cap is broken off, and the pull rope is torn and pull handle is missing. Everything else seems to be there and in working order. I'm looking for any information on these saws. IPL's, Service Manuals, Estimate of what they are worth, and some suggestions of other posts on this site that I could get more information.

Thanks

That's probably the best set of instructions I've ever seen on a saw. Cleaning the exhaust port? Never seen that before on a saw.

We definitely get our fair share of decals nowadays, how about some education to go with it?!

Very nice original KB6. That is a really fine old machine.
Congrats.

Chris.

VERY nice score. Post up you pics of the Mercury and questions about it in the 2-man chainsaw thread if you haven't done so already. Those guys will help you out.

I am in need of a good 1/2"-8 spur sprocket for my McCulloch 650 gear drive. I'd be interested in a .404 spur (or one of the mythical rim drive adaptors) for the same saw too. My saw has a worn 1/2"-7 spur now. Since I need to replace the spur, I'd like to go up on the tooth count to gain a bit of chain speed since I have a 3/1 geared saw. I can give part numbers if needed.

dont be mad old old stihl question

But here goes, i know its not n.o. american but its magnesium. I just sold a toy to buy a toy, now im looking for a stihl blk that is in fair shape. Does anyone have one or know of one around? thanx

Aaron- I think I can help you with them spurs. What's the output stub shaft diameter on them 650s?

If you don't get the sprocket from JJ
I know where there is a bunch of new 8 point 404 sprockets.
I bought 5 of them. All the Mac geardrives from the 33 to the 895 have the
same size shaft, I did some checking.
