If you charged them for JUST parts and NO LABOR then they shouldn't complain at all. I wish my shop did that! I hate to pick on Sap since he seems to come and go so much but my brother has been a tile, slate and marble sitter for 35 years. He said he has never in his 35 years ever seen anyone put floor marble on countertops, he was quite amuzed at Saps work there when Sap first posted that pic a long time ago.
I never seen him grin so much in my life...

Note the similarity of these two guys in Thall's shop not wanting to pay and Thall's talk about the homeowners he does tree work for that don't want to pay tree service prices!

Not quite Treeco, but good try. The homeowners don't wanna pay out the kazoo for a job they can get done alot cheaper. The guys in the shop want not only service free but parts as well and for us to pay for their stupidy, that goes over the line. If you think not then you should start doing tree work for free as well, ya can't have it both ways ole boy. Also after supper I'll be looking for some butt to kick, be sure your on tonite, hehehehhe

Beleive it or not that same guy came back this morning trying to convince me the old handle had to have a defect in it. I said I guess that bent bar did too. Needless to say I gave him the number to Stihl and told him if he could convince them to cover the handle I would gladly give him his money back. At 10.30 I got a call from Stihl, long story short the man will now think twice about prying his saw. He gets zipp for his stupidy..

Well I give him credit for trying and not giving up but I do disrespect the man now knowing how far he will go to sham someone. He met his match on the phone today, that I am sure of. If he comes back, and I'm sure he will, I'm merely gonna say do you pull this non-sense everywhere you buy things. That should let him know the game is over. If he doesn't take notice we've already decided at the store to send him packing with a blunt don't come back. We don't need people like that, no one does.......

Those Stihl shops can afford not to charge for 'labor'. They've got enough of a markup built into their parts prices to more than make up for both a profit on parts and labor. HAhahahahahahaha!

$60 for a handle?????? That's a $5 part. You do the math.
