When I am up amongst the branches, ear defenders on, saw buzzing I often find that there is a song in my head.
Do you know what I mean ?
One of my most popular/recuring ones is Tangled Up In Blue by Dylan.
Its not like I listen to it that often, it just seams to pop into my head when Im up a tree.
I think it may be the line "All that he knew how to do was to keep on keeping on like a bird that flew" that sets it off.
What song do you find yourself singing/humming/whistling/wishing would stop when you are up a tree ?

"super freak" by Rick James, just heard it on a commercial and I'll be singing it all night probably now......

I dont climb trees but when Im on the ground and havee my earphones on I usually end up singing the last song I heard before I put them on.:dizzy:

Can you bounce with it! Bounce with it!... Don't know the name of the song but it's in my head sometimes. Really don't like the song just think its funny.

The Wheel by the Grateful Dead was the last one.

If the thunder don't getcha then the lightning willll...

Handel's Water Music was the tune before. :D

But Tangled Up in Blue works cuz the lyric rolls through time, and the guitar riff drives it.

Master Of The House by Les Miserables.

George in the show Seinfeld couldn't get it out of his head. It was the episode where Jerry bought an expensive jacket and ruined it the night he met up with George & Elaine to meet her father.

George sings: Master of the house.. doling out the charm, ready with a handshake and an open palm...

He just kept repeating it over and over. In the end, Elaine's father couldn't stop singing it either. LOL!

Master of the house, doling out the charm...

George Thorogood & The Destroyers - Bad to the bone....

Try NOT playing that through your head as the top of a nasty one comes out exactly where you planned.

C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E-S-O-N-G song, hey, C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E-S-O-N-G song, Squidward.
But I'm not afraid because I'm sitting in my anti-Sea Bear circle, so they don't attack me :)

One of the all time best tree killing songs: Soundgarden, Outshined. But I get alot of others too.

a great song for climbing too.

that newer song from kings of leon. use somebody. i switch out a couple words. instead of "looking" down i say "climbing" around and then i throw buzzy in there too.

"ive been climbing around looking down at alllll i see. you know that i could uuuuuuse some buzzy! some buzzy like yoouuuu!"

i am truly a singing fool in the tree. usually my song helps to direct the nervous energy out my body so i can focus the good energy to the work. if it wasnt for tune, life wouldnt be all that good.

Last time up in a tree, mine was were not going to take it by twisted sister. It was in my head all day since that was the song that I woke up to.:deadhorse:

Or that motley crew one, not a big fan, but good tree song: a baby cries, a cop dies, a days pay on the wild side.

I just switch it up so its "a days pay on the tree side", lol

Especially fond of the cop reference. :)

The Ride Of The Valkyries, Wagner.

The whole process, approaching the tree, the first cut, the final one, the slow fall of the tree, the crash at the end.

Smells like.......

victory.

The best way to get that song out of your head is to sing Electric Avenue

We gonna rock down to ELECTRIC AVENUE
And then we'll take it higher!

See if that helps. It works for any song really.

I'm on an H & O kick right now and the song in my head while aloft the past few weeks has been "Rich Girl". It gets annoying at times though. I toss a few swear words into Jon's harmony lines to keep it real.
