I have a older whisperchipper with the 300 inline 6 in it. Runs great but I cant get it to stop overheating. I believe it is a air problem. Some numbskull broke the thermostat housing which holds the mechanical fan. I am trying to find a replacement because the aftermarket electric fans just arent cutting it. Please help guys thanks

whisper Chipper

If you chipper has a Ford 300CID engine you can usually find the parts at any junk yard. There were many 300's in trucks. Good Luck

Post a picture of the part your need.
Pretty sure the fan is mounted on a sliding block near the thermostat housing but they are not connected.
You might want to pull it all apart and boil out your radiator and replace the thermostat, water pump and whatnot. All the parts are cheap.

We had one of those years ago, the fan blew inwards so it would clog the radiator every so often and overheat the motor even when the fan was running

Not to mention the fuel tank over the motor would boil and stir up all the s*%t in the bottom of the fuel tank.

Good times
