Indiana GTG

January 27th. Located five miles east of Martinsville. starting 8-30-9 am. I will provide lunch of ham and beans cooked over an open fire.
All are welcome to attend I think alot of us saw hos will have a good time, and will be doing something for the community. Plus playing with our toys.
It will be nice to shake a few hands and to meet the faces that go with these names.
Feel free to bring your CSMs and saws. we can find some logs to mill. and if needed we can break up into two spots. some cutting firewood and others doing milling demonstrations.

I live here in Centerville right beside Richmond, I'll come if the date is right, I don't have any racing saws just stock but I love to cut and shoot s@#t.

Sounds Like Fun

Just tell me when and where, I’ve been wanting to see who/where all of the rest of the Hoosiers were. I'm not to far south of you in Underwood (Scottsburg), sounds like it could be fun. Definitely find some race logs I’d like to see that, after the work was done. Might be fun to see who has the fastest limbing saw or a run what you brung for the firewood just for giggles. Maybe a booby prize for the slowest saw (I got one I think could win this one :) ). If you did it on a Sunday I could come out Saturday and help set it up. I work late Friday night so wouldn’t be able to help if it was going to be on Saturday. I have a 16' trailer with 2 1/2 sides if we need it. I know a lady that works with needy families in the area, I could see if she knows of any that need wood for the winter. I'm sure she knows of someone she travels most of southern Indiana and eastern Kentucky, PM me if you want me to ask her.

Jan 27th, Saturday

start at 8-30-9 am break for lunch when we ear between sawing and shooting breeze. I will cook a big pot of beans and have the wife make us a few pans of cornbread.

Are you going to be set up to do some saw racing or just a gtg to cut firewood and shoot the breeze?

I do not have anything to support logs.

but we could always rig something up in the woods.
Granted the log size is going to change .as it gets smaller.. (I wanna go last)
I do have to halves of a red oak tree that busted wfo when it fell.. and of course the logger is not buying it.
So mainly it is going to be a gathering to meet and greet, and to cut some wood load it up and donate to a family.

Man that sucks, I work every other weekend and that is a weekend I work. I guess I'll try and make the next one.

I'll check with the entertainment director. I can bring some saws and an 16yr old strong back and weak mind to help. I will bring the 084 if we have a few minute to mill something.

I have that big prehalved red oak

it is easy to get to as well. I could even get it out of the woods and chocked up propper. I am sure I can come up with something to mill..even if it is basswood. Bring it on

I am interested as well, but I had told guys at a couple other GTG's I was coming and had gotten emergancy calls at the last minute. With that said, don't count on me, but if I am able to make it, have enough wood for me to cut some up too.

Cottonwood, ash, poplar would be good wood for the fun races. I have a stand I could bring, again, if my work schedule allows me to come. I'll have to check the schedule on wednesday to see when I am on call this month.

I would love to come if its okay with you guys. Where are you going to meet? I have wanted to put some faces and personalities with these names for a while.

Location. 30 miles south of INDY

and five miles east of Martinsville. and a mile south of Cope
heck everyone can come, Bring your saws and plan on having a good time.
If anyone is planning on a long drive there are a few name brand hotels in Martinsville.

What is GTG ?? Maybe a stupid question LOL. This sounds like it would be a lot of fun and a chance to meet everybody. I wouldn't mind coming if you all wouldn't mind. If you need a truck or trailer just let me know. When will this be and where at ?? I am located about 20 miles from evansville, IN.
