Looks like some nice country down there. The GPS coords are displayed at the bottom left of the image, for those of us who like those sorts of things.

sure as long as we do not run out of room.

There will be no running water in it. all the water has been drained for the winter

Computeruser, I do run 3/8. I have a 32 and a 25" bar in the larger Stihl mount. It sounds like Eric has a little oak to play with, so it would be fun.

actually this is the north end section of my fathers

I only have 5 acres. Mine is the green roof showing just south and east of your square

Computeruser, what sat site are you using? The one i use isnt that nice or clear out of FSU.

I'm using GoogleEarth. Most of the time it is pretty good, but there are some areas that just don't come out hi-res. But on balance, it is pretty nice. My wife is big into geocaching and tried a couple different sat image and topo options and finally settled on GoogleEarth, so it is all I've ever tried.

I am still trying to pin down the time of my daughters band function. I was planning on bringing the 084, 42" bar, CSM and the 440 with a 20" if I can work out the logistics. I'll pin it down this week-end. 8 to 9' is plenty of length for a log to mill. What do you think Casey? It looks like 20's and 30's all week next week including the week-end. I am on a business trip from Tues through Fri. Miami( Bummer) I'll get you a yes or no this week-end.

Still in log form. of course. and I have many more within easy drag if enough people show.
I should have two splitters.
I need to run down to the ladies house and see what length she burns and such.

If all We need are 9-10 foot logs I can easily maneuver those around with the loader on a tractor.(I think)

Yeah, no need for anything over 9' really.

Hautions...Im thinking about trying a new Slabbing set up. More portable, picked it up from the Will Mallof book I got from Thompson1600.

Basically you take 6-10 lag bolts, screw them into the log so you can set a 2x8 or 2x10 on them level and let'er rip. Doing it this way you can use a fairly short board, and just keep moving it along with your cut. If you like Ill bring this book with me...Chock full of usefull information...simple things that one would never have thought of.

double up to cope indiana

still looking for anyone from west ky, south il, southwest in, southeast mo, or northwest tn to double with.

Can someone bring a Tach?

I would like to know how a good plug reading on my saw compares to factory RPM specs.. Thanks

Sounds good Casey. I'd like to see that technique/book. It sounds like it would work well on uneven surfaces. Hey Eric, what is the rough diameter of the oak that fell and split in half that you were thinking about using for a CSM demo piece??

That's perfect. The 32" bar will cut 26ish wide. Nice rain last night. What a sloppy mess.
