Nope, nothing has required it, save for ripping up some of that maple that is still sitting by my wood pile.

However I might have what I'm told is a HUGE removal coming up somewhere around Lansing, though, in addition to the one at the cemetery. Haven't seen the potential Lansing one yet, just heard about it second-hand by way of the bro-in-law of the homeowner. The guy said he thinks it is a huge old Maple, so there might be some lumber coming out of that tree if his info is correct...if it is, I'll be sure to schedule it on a weekend when you're around. The tree is supposed to be healthy, but it is collapsing their foundation and they want it gone so they can excavate and repour. We shall see.

I love the hear say jobs...My last one was supposed to be a 5 foot daimeter PIN oak that that perfect and got hit by lightning. I was hoping for some good lumber...

The white oak was rotten though the backside, that is why it cam down. The 36" bar cleaned up most of it in a single pass. The stump was the only part of it that required the 36" from both sides.

Yes

I did a clearing for a gas line a few weeks ago, they said huge trees, 100 feet tall and "monsters" at the base, turned out I could clear the trencher path by only taking Lodge-Pole Pine (sort of like Eastern Jack-Pine) , only a couple more then 12" and 60' for the tallest.

But they did say that they never cut more then a Christmass tree before.

Where dose an MS-660 balance best for an all around bar, I'm thinking 25" 0r 28"? ....

Yes, I have the 36" hangs with an 8-pin real well, but it is nose heavy, if I don't need it in everything.

Kevin, I think the 066/660 balances very well with a 28". It also balances well with a 20", in my hands. While it doesnt have a problem with a 36", that does get nose heavy after awhile. Go for the 28", youll kick yourself if you need the extra 3" the 25" doesnt give you.

Here you can see Jeff, there are other people than me, that is conserned about balance.........:blob2: :blob2:
:D

I will get either a 25" or 28" GB hoping for in-put?
I have read several times that GB bars are comparatively heavy for their lenght, so they may not be the best choise if you are conserned with balance. ;)

The ProTop bars seem to be a little heavier than their Stihl counterparts. The Ti bars, however, have no noticebale difference in weight to the ES counterparts.
