1. Wise people don't go buying 2nd hand chainsaws off the net expecting the saw to be perfect.

2. The buyer shouldn't be expected to sit and wait 2 weeks to receive their purchase. Should be shipped within a day it's been paid for, no excuses.

3. Straight away there's gonna be a conflict.

4. Wise people should expect to pay some extra dosh to bring their purchase up to scratch if they're not mechanically-minded themselves. A do-it-yourselfer will slam a new ring(s) into a lowish comp saw and have it running like new within an hour.

5. What's a brand-new husky ring worth? 20 bucks?

6. A running 262 for 300 bucks... bargain..

1) true
2) true
3) true
4) true, will be doing just that
5) false it was only $10.71 and I have one ready to go in
6) definitely true - in Australian or New Zealand Dollars. Maybe true - Canadian or US Dollars.

I could have easily lived with the lowish compression OR the slow shipping, but not both. The saw is going to end up costing me at least $400 , which doesn't seem like so much of a bargain when a brand-new 365 is $599

The 262 is definitely not worth throwing away. . . So far the fixies sound cheap and easy. . . And the saw will probably run till the Lord comes back.

The 262's, 266's, and 268's are all worth fixing and keeping around.

The Arboristsite commandment should be: Thou shalt not ship Parcel Post

I did unto him as I would have others do to me by giving him positive feedback anyway.

I turned the other cheek by withdrawing the Paypal claim

Thou shalt not ship Parcel Post

Exactly! LOL:hmm3grin2orange:

More on point though. . .

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

I noticed you wear your Christianity on your sleeve, from your first post on here. . . In doing so, you represent Christ.

Just something to consider.

If you told me that the saw you wher selling me felt like it had good compression & i tested it to onpy 95psi,

I would be pissed too, sounds like you smurfed him honestly especially for over 300 dollars...

LOL, read more into it...

I understand the slow shipping making you angry, but you did say it was ok for me to ship it later on in the week......and i was only one day late on my promise, but you ok'd that. It arrived in 6-7 business days, and you knew it was coming usps, so whats the surprise? Compression did feel ok to me, the same as the two 262 xp's i have at work, which have ran flawlessly for years. In fact, i read a thread the other day where some guys were talking about the compression of their nearly new 372 and it was only 130 something psi. My arm is not a guage. I have never even used a comp guage on a saw, so i have no way of comparing feel to a psi number, so i didn't. I made no false claim anywhere. You bid and bought at your price. I couldn't help that. And i would have been glad to answer any questions. I assumed trouble from the beginning when you were holding onto a "non receipt" claim when it was recieved. But, its done now. I do have a conscience, and i know i did nothing wrong. I assumed you were a ebay veteran under a new name, cause you sure did seem to know a lot about ebay for a first timer. But hey, thats ok too. Its done now. i appreciate you not bad mouthing me, and i feel i have not done so either.

LOL, read more into it...

Read what more?

95, 125, 135, all are noticable as not the best compression when pulling the cord...

Im mean, I dropped allmost 300 on an sp81e that "needed a carby job".

the damn thing had half the ignition missing, BUT,, it ddid/does have great comp lol. I didnt raise hell all over the place either...

I esccalated to a claim because i wanted the negative account off my back. It had all my finiances messed up, and i wanted it over with, because i felt i was being treated unfairly, just as you did. Im not trying to start a fussing match, i've explained my side to you privatley, publicly to everybody here, and you. So im done.

Like i said, never used a guage.

YA, but its not rocket science.

hold the saw by the cord, if it goes sluf..sluf...sluf..sluf, it is abit LOW.

Hold it by the cord & it does sluf..............................sluf...........................sluf...................sluf........................sluf compression is a okay, testers are not really all that important.

I dunno why i used "sluf"...

If it is a heavy saw for its size, it could "sluf sluf" easier than others, its not foolproof.

humm thats pretty scientific there, too many factors for that to be a good method, bet if you put a 60 inch bar on a new 880 it would fall pretty quick

The worst thing about airing your grievance here....
The guy might join the site.....

Now that is funny...........

No need for me to add any further..........

Judge Space, adjourn the trial.... Or call more witnesses.

Good thing them bars come off eh?

My good super pro 81 wearing 24'' full comp(extra weight lol) takes about 60 seconds to go 4 times...

Matt got his cash, guys. Now lets help this guy get his new 262 where he thinks it should be, and then everybody is happy. Do you need a fuel tank or not?
