I asked that it be deleted.
Is it asking too much for the man to be good for his word? I made a mistake, no doubt, but to say he owes me nothing when he told me it was all original and never been apart? That part I don't get.
On the other hand, he flat out denies having ever said that. So it's nothing more than my word against his. I bought the piston, the saw's now running great, and I emailed the seller and de-fused the situation.
BTW, the biggest mistake I made was posting his name. I deleted my entire original post.
Starting this thread was the mistake I see.......
For the life of me I cant understand why you always feel your the one getting screwed......Your starting to look like a guy that can get a free saw than complain that the guy who gave it to you has to reimburse you for your labor and parts to fix it so you can make a profit when you sell it .......
The saw ran ......The saw looked good ......You ran it ........You looked it over.......Its not like you bought it sight unseen......
Was that 460 ever apart???

At this point, I'd rather be showing you guys a video of it with the bar buried in some hardwood. But mother nature isn't going to allow that.

Anything else said here is just bickering for the sake of bickering. Pretty pointless IMHO. I think about everything legitimate that could be said, has been said. Let it go. I have.

I use to spend a bit of time on a board that was not very friendly to those who did not think a certain way. One of the tricks that will keep you out of trouble, quote the entire message, then highlight the section you wish to address.
No confusion nor claims that you took something out of context that way, while making your point very clear, and minimizing your chance of being spanked.

you can save bandwidth and useless quoting by just quoting the part you want...
if someone wants to see the whole post, click on the post link beside the "Quotee's" handle... (little blue box with > in it)
afterall.... that's what Quoting is all about.
Post it all or don't quote it.
