Dolmar PS420 after some use

Yep, that's mostly what we have around these parts.....Hillbillies that aint gotta pot to piss in (or teeth for that matter) but they got 'em a Stihl FarmBoss 290 and they think they've got the world by the balls, cuz they own something that says Stihl on it.....lol :greenchainsaw:

Well, at least around here you can actually FIND a StihlBilly saw on many a shelf, and many a part to go with it. Try that with Doltmar. Go ahead, try! You MIGHT find ONE or maybe even TWO Dolmars for sale in this area (or the Detriot area), and more than likely they will be one of those itty bitty 34s and maybe a super sized 341. ... and that's a big whopping:

Then places like Amicks that are good, and they try to sell and ship Dolly saws, but other back-stabbing Doltmar dealers turned them in!

HOMETOWN, give the benefit of the doubt to these "moon shine runners"(Dolmar crew) are tellin ya. For the sake of doubt, buy one over the internet and work on it. Hot rod it if ya like. Big deal if you can't drive down the steet 3minutes. Shoot, I've only been in this business only a handful of months and AREA 51 is hopping with activities.

I tried. Some other Doltmar jerkazoids turned Amicks in before I could get the 420 that I wanted. Seriously, I think that with the lack of saw sales locations in the US, Dolmar can only fail here again as they did BEFORE, when they left the US marketplace.

Dolmar has some real issues. I have had a LOT of PM replies from used-to-be-Dolmar-dealers with all kinds of complaints and issues about why they no longer sell Dolmar saws, and that thet typically could not get Dolmar parts. When I called around here last year, 4 out of the 8 Dolmar 'dealers' listed in the Portland/Vancouver metro area (on the Dolmar web site) no longer sell Dolmar saws. Of the 4 left, only 2 has any saws in their inventory. And those were the 34 and 341. None had a 350 or a 420, or a 5100, or a 7900. ZERO. I also looked into becoming a Dolmar dealer and contacted and had some discussions with the Dolmar PNW distributor. However, they wanted a prime location (which I had) AND they wanted a working shop AND they wanted me to carry a large inventory of saws and parts. In this economy, I figured it would be suicidal. Stihl and Husky sell far better and have far more loyalty.
