Your poor buggers have it coming again I see. The Skokomish River at Potlatch is a major flood stage and is rising, been looking at the NSW site.

Big wind storm yesterday also... lots of power outages again... trees down, branches...

And yes, flooding all over Western WA right now.

it is really messing up my Stealhead season. Too much muddy water.

Maybe you all should move to a place with nicer weather..........:(

...I guess not, but you have our sympathy.

It sucks for sure, but, I can pee upstream at high tide and the Skok will flood. If memory serves the snoqualmie is the same (but I heard they finally dredged it).

The big deal around here are the mudslides.

Some of the hills on 101 even look loose in the summer.

Adapt and overcome...

101 is the same all the way down to San Diego - messy - any rain cause major hassels. Good Luck fellas. It is snowing here now, dropping down to 2000 tonight. Yey!

You need to read "A river runs through it"... Fishing is sacred... kind of like skiing... 21 inches at Crystal Mountain today... priorities...

Oh I know, I am leaving Fri. morning to go get me some steelhead. Don't know if they will make to the boat. Oh wait - I will be rowing the boat. My buddy just got a new Willy.

May be a really silly question but, You ever see Kasey Kahne up there? When I used to photograph sprint cars I had a bunch of him.

Not a lot, he stops by from time to time at the local Dodge dealer in town as well as takes a run or two in the sprints down in Elma. I run into his mom as she stops by the local watering hole now and again.

Thats cool, I never went that far up for sprinters. Grays Harbor, Skagit and Yakima were always too far for me. From the pictures and TV coverage, his mom looks like a pretty lady.

Ahh, but if you thought the pow was heavy that day last yr at Stevens, I reckon it was better than today's stuff at Xtal.....

Now though, as it's cooled, some of the moisture will get sucked out, and the lighter stuff on top will make it schweet.....Goldarn it...and I'm stuck in some nasty crotches....still...didn't hear from Mr Hamilton yet...re the really stuck hemmy....

Odd how Xtal got so much more snow than even Baker......even at the base...and it is still snowing there.

Wait till you see pics of today's wolfy fir. prolly 11,000 lb of chips, 2000 lb of branch wood saved, and prolly 45,000 or more of trunk weight. It will surpass 24" at 65 feet, and is maybe 54 at the butt....

Tomorrow's cedar, while it may only scale out at 600-800 bf (??) is maybe 6 feet across at the ground--a codom, and we're cutting it at fence height, maybe 40 and 30 inch cuts....

Doesn't his Dad (or someone in the family) do custom lettering for trucking companies and such, in Enumclaw?

Stevens only got 2-4 as well.. but I'll be skiing Friday no matter what...

BTW..rb.. that alder might come down on its owners barn if we don't deal with it soon... looks like it's rotated since I took the other side off... rats...

Friday Weather

They say another front hitting with wind and rain friday and saturday. Could be an easy year for fire wood collecting. Giving my wife lots of time on her 260 pro she got from santa. Seems like cedars are snapping a lot on the hill above our place the firs seem to be holding at the roots. Fortunately high winds usually blow paralell to the house when hitting our 100 ft plus doug firs.

you mean the "aelder"?

Dang, I peeked at it, but wanted to get moving on to more bids.....

I've no chance to get out tomorrow, possibly Friday?? Let's hope John calls the hemlock job in. Bug him or the neighbor for me. Scott Chapple is helping me Friday whereever we end up.
