XL-101 Project saw.

This Homelite XL101 chainsaw | eBay showed up today. Brown ground took only two days from Michigan to St. Joe.

Blows 120 psi and will make a good victim for the near mint piston and cylinder I already have on hand. Came with a serviceable 16" b/c with a McCulloch(!) part number on it. Metering lever was set way too high and now I got it set too low.:bang: I wish the metering side of the carb was on the top instead of the bottom. Has the cast alum. 'muffler'.

Not finished cleaning it up yet and like I said need to go through it a little more. What do you think Cliff?

I wack away on this test log with my ice saws.(punky maple) I am chilly and wanted a fire Mr. Super wiz got a rin today. I like making chips 1/2 pitch chain makes lots of chips.

We started cutting then stopped to get ear plugs.....

When I was done splitting by hand I was not chilly anymore. still made a fire.

Good day Mike

ModifiedMark started a thread about his SXL925 late last year IIRC. The title had something to do with being angry, or frustrated, or 'fed up' IIRC. Search his 'threads started by' list in his profile.

No way, Mark frustrated or fed up with something thats not got Poulan on the side? Hard to believe...;)

LOL. Looks like the search engine still won't go far enough back. My phone locks up when doing google searches on the site(home computer is in the middle of 'no-man's land' in the daughter's slumber party right now). I feel like I'm holed up in a 'panic room'...
