Looks like a C-9 to me.

lol

The filter cover is wrong for a C-9 as it was longer and a little more rounded. It may be a 10 something saw but it sounds and looks like a C-72, might just be my audio, but the 6 cube Homies seem to have a bit more pop to them.

I did some digging last night and found the pictures you posted before.

I wouldn't kick that out of bed :msp_wub:.

Funny how AS creates some small world circles. Case-in-point, if this is the same saw, the guy who got it from you and is selling it to me grew up 25 minutes from here.

homie 410

got this 410 today off of cl for $35. now that i have it i'm wondering what the rep is on this saw.
also, been trying for 15 minutes to upload pix, something i've done several times. any mods or site owners listening out there?

At first, really didn't think much of 410s, but after playing a bit, I'll cast a :msp_thumbsup: for 'em. Yea they're heavy compared to modern saws (of which I have zero), and yea they have a rubber carb boot, and also think I've read where they had a few heat related issues in hot weather, but they ain't that bad in my personal view. Feels balanced, not bad antivibe, and they even have reeds! Oh yea, and a manual oiler too. What's not to like. Besides, for $35 you can't go wrong. Best of luck fixing her up.

Kyle had a few back end of last year... not sure about now. Used to see 'em all over feebay, but not so many anymore. 330 boots are cheap there and look close to a 410 boot, but unfortunately they're not the same. That slanted angle on the 410 boot always confuses me which direction its supposed to point. Heck, I can't even remember now whether its slants inward or outward... always get it backwards.

I just had a complete, fairly clean XL103 given to me and need to know if it's worth messing with or should I scrap it.Thanks, Dan

Finest mid range saw built by Homelite.

I built four this past summer.

Super XL925

How desirable is a Super XL925? It's supposed to be cosmetically and mechanically in very good condition with manual and tool.

Very desirable. Remember a previous post on here a few years ago and numerous members declared them to be their all time favorite Homelite. Without a doubt in this member's top 5 list.
