I got this beauty last week... unfortunately it was run with a bad intake boot and slightly scored the piston:( I am pretty sure the cylinder will clean up.
Does anyone have a piston and or cylinder for one of these?
please let me know.

Jim that's a nice 410. Looks like an SL with the brake. Ya don't see these too often. Great find!

The paint is fine, the camera on my phone is fading.. lol

Anyone have a piston??

Jim any luck with the fellow I referred you to? I've seen several NOS pistons for these saws on feebay too. They are still common because that engine was also used in the DM40 demo saw.

Yes, I spoke to him and yes I think he can help! He has another 410 coming from ebay and wants to see what it needs first.
I have not seen those pistons go across ebay, but I just started looking earlier this week.
Thanks Aaron!

BTW, do you know anything about the Homelite MP38 saw? It looks like a chainsaw but I can't figure out what it's based on. I thought it close to the 340 saw, but the 340 is a clamshell.??

I think it is based on the 340 type chainsaws. Never seen one in person or looked at an IPL for them.

What am I by myself here? Come on guys. Help me keep the ERB and his MacAttack pics at bay. POST SOMETHING. I see that Randy Duncan once again has his newly produced Homelite 650/750 intake boots for sale. I was impressed with the quality of the one I used on a 750 a year or two ago.:msp_thumbup:

Here's something. Anybody ever look inside a 7-29 fuel tank? Here's what they look like.

I put it on the bunch to see what it would take to get it running. It has no spark and the
plug end of the wire is missing. I checked the compression and its around 150 psi.
Piston looks good from what I can see. Lots of crud built up inside.
