Some one needs a better Computer or something.:monkey:

Not quite sure what the problem is Cliff. My computer is plenty fast. I have high speed internet. Embedded videos work fine for me on other VBulletin sites. however, for some reason, Embedded vids on AS only show up as a large black square with a teeny white box in the corner. No picture. Nothing to click. Nothing. Strange. Gotta be something in my security settings that's stopping it. Again, embedded vids work fine elsewhere....:sucks:

I am close to convincing Santa that I need a laptop for Christmas however. Lessens the 'conflicts' over who get's to surf the net at a given time...

Never seen a ladder used as a straight edge! Is this a common way to mill?

It would be cool to make you own boards...

I think the good ol' ladder for a guide is probably the first guide folks use just getting started. Once you see how it works and you know you're gonna wind up dumping money into your set up you move up to better guide rails. Check out the Milling forum, you might get hooked too, Joe.

LoL I love that movie, no its Strong Bad from homestarrunner.com.
I think its candian. Its OK for a laugh when your bored.

My all time favorite homelite is the Super EZ. I bent the bar on my Stihl the very first tree of the day and only had the sez as backup. We cut 3 cord of mixed pine with that little 37 cc saw only stoping a few times to clean it up because the fuel would boil.

Anybody ever seen a Big Red- Super XL?

Seen a great looking one today at the saw shop. Had a sticker that said it was made in Charlotte NC.

how much?

what would these be worth goin to check them out tommorow guy says one is good 20 and the other he let sit and the engin is stuck LOL 10 for that i have an xl12 needs a carb and carb cover seems like an ok deal would ya all give 30 ?im new to buying old chainsaws seems like just for the parts alone its worth it?

SXLA initial carb settings

I wanted to confirm what the initial carb settings should be for a Super XL Automatic with the Walbro SDC-8 carb with todays 10% ethanol gas.

The Homelite Shop Service Manual 3rd edition, written pre-ethanol, suggests 1 turn out for both the hi and lo jets. As I got the saw the carb had both hi and lo jets set to 3/4 turn out, which I thought was kind of lean.

Man Cliff, You have a secret to finding these bad boy bow saws.
She's a sweety and a Super Wiz 80 is not that common.
Congrats on a good looking saw.
